Madelyn answered calmly, “I’m not sure what he wants, so he can order what he likes for himself.”
“Sure,” the waiter nodded. Zach’s taste in food was different from Madelyn’s – he ordered a few spicy dishes. Once the waiter had left, Zach asked, ” Still upset about it?”
Madelyn didn’t even look at him. “I went to the mall with you, and now I’m here having dinner. What do you really want? I told you from the start that I’m not a threat to you.
