The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1321 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1321

On this romantic night, the moon was obscured by the clouds.

Breathing heavily, Blake felt some pain in her abdomen. She asked to stop. ” Liam, my stomach hurts. I think I’m going to have my period soon.”

Liam sobered up instantly. “I’ll go get you some medicine.”

She peeked out from under the blanket as the bedside lamp turned on. She could clearly see Liam’s naked upper body. Her face flushed as she averted her gaze. “It’s fine. Just help me call the front desk and ask them to bring up a pack of sanitary pads. I’ll go to the bathroom to deal with it.”

Liam replied, “Let’s go to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up.”

Blake picked up her clothes from the floor and went to the bathroom. “It’s okay. It’s probably just my period.”

However, judging by the blood flowing out, it did not seem like menstrual blood to Blake. It looked like something else.

Blake’s voice came from the bathroom again. “I think we should go to the hospital.”

She sat on the toilet and watched the tall, slender Liam, in his pajamas, walk in. He was holding a sanitary pad. “Do you need help?”

Blake replied, “I think you should go out. I feel a little embarrassed.”

“All right. I’ll wait for you outside.”

Liam walked to the balcony and answered a phone call. It was Olivia.

Olivia was looking at her screen, reading some drafts, when she said, “I saw the email you sent me. I didn’t expect so much to happen to you two. Liam, women hate being lied to. When Blake finds out the truth, she’ll only hate you more.”

Liam asked, “What should I do?”

“Tell her the truth. As for her final decision, it’s up to her. If she knows the truth now, there might still be a slight chance to salvage the situation,” Olivia answered.

Clutching her uncomfortable stomach, Blake walked out of the washroom, intending to get some water. She overheard something about the truth and the chance to salvage the situation.

Liam saw Blake and met her eyes. She walked to the kitchen without asking him any questions and poured herself a glass of water.

When she felt the water was cold, she decided to boil some.

Liam asked, “Is it very painful? Should we go to the hospital now?”

Blake refused and said, “Let’s decide that tomorrow. It doesn’t feel like it’s my period. But I think I should just go to the hospital for a check-up anyway.”

Liam pursed his lips, hesitating to speak. His gaze gradually became intense as he stared at her face.

“Blake, there’s something I want to tell you.”

When the water was heated, she poured it into the cup to mix it with the cold mineral water.

He continued, “You’re pregnant. It’s been over a month now. Considering the timing, you were in Northern Myanmar.”

A loud sound was heard. Blake was so shocked that she dropped the cup in her hand to the ground. She smiled in disbelief. “How’s that possible?! Liam, you must be mistaken. H-How could I be pregnant?”

Liam responded, “It was confirmed during the examination when we went to the hospital last time. Blake, this child belongs to Kevin, right?”

Blake was stunned for a moment. She did not know whether to feel sad or happy.

They stared at each other for a very long time. After a long silence, Blake said in a choked voice, “You were talking to Olivia, right? The voice sounded like hers.

“You told her about my pregnancy, am I right? Did you discuss it with her? Have you reached a decision?”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
