The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1318 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1318

Before Liam and Blake got back to the apartment, he had already bought many ingredients.

Blake had basically moved into Liam’s room. After she changed into her slippers and walked into the master bedroom to get her jacket, she noticed the wardrobe was full of her clothes. Only a few of Liam’s shirts and pants that he normally wore were in there.

She also found their underwear, originally placed under the clothes, neatly folded together in an open drawer.

Blake stared blankly at the wardrobe as she suddenly felt annoyed. She threw her pajamas on the bed, grabbed her hair, and lowered her head anxiously. Her mind went completely blank, and she did not know what she was thinking about.

It was not until Liam walked in that she snapped out of it. He asked, “Blake, what’s wrong?”

She shook her head. “I don’t know. I think I’m having a headache. I just need to rest for a while, and then I’ll be fine.”

“Sleep for a while. I’ll call you when dinner is ready,” Liam replied.

He then caressed her face. Suddenly, Blake leaned over and kissed him.

After kissing for some time, she said, ” Liam, let’s do it again.”

He responded, “Blake, don’t try to forget him this way. You’ll regret it.”

Blake suddenly looked dispirited. “I just want to leave myself with no room for regret. Liam, I’ve been rebellious since I was a child because my parents were never around. I thought they didn’t want me. So, no matter what they say, I never listen.

“You’re the husband chosen by them for me. This time, I want to listen to them.

“Liam, I hope you’ll do it with me. I’m doing this not only because I want to move on from him. I truly want to try spending my life with you.

“Please don’t reject me, okay?”

Liam hugged her waist, looked up at her, and ran his hand through her hair. Their noses touched. He responded in a deep voice with his eyes closed, “That should be my line to you.”

Blake initiated a kiss with him. Eventually, their clothes were all removed.

Liam pressed a button on the remote control, and the curtains closed automatically.

In the dark room, Blake enjoyed his gentle actions.

She felt shivers running through her body, an overwhelming sensation that gave her a different kind of thrill.

Liam merely finished once, and Blake had already fallen asleep, seemingly tired from it.

He wiped her private part with tissues. She moved her body uncomfortably but continued sleeping without any awareness.

Liam almost lost control.

He then carried her to wash her body, dressed her in pajamas, and left the room.

Blake slept for only about two hours, and the sky was already completely dark.

She rubbed her eyes before putting on her slippers and walked out to the living room. She went to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of milk. Then, Liam appeared out of nowhere and took the milk from her hand. ” Warm it up before drinking. Otherwise, it might give you an upset stomach.”

Blake nodded. Dressed in a loose nightgown, she lay cross-legged on the couch, looking like she had not fully woken up yet.

She then thought about something.

She said, “Liam, do you want children? I just realized you finished inside me. We might not have cleaned it up properly. If you don’t want children for now, I’ll go to the pharmacy later to get contraceptives.”

Liam poured the milk into a cup and placed it in the microwave. After heating it for a minute, he walked over and sat beside her. He held her and said, “If there’s a child, let’s have it.”

Blake looked at him. “Aren’t we too young to have children?”

Liam responded, “We’re not young anymore. My book’s copyright period has just expired, and many websites want the authorization to use it. I’ve also earned quite a bit in royalties. We have enough money to have a few babies.”

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
