The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1316 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1316

Blake had been wanting to resign. She wanted to change her work environment and start anew.

Cecilia approved her resignation. Liam was there with her at the company on the day she resigned.

Her wedding date with Liam was quite soon, so they had to speed up the process. They did not invite many people to their wedding banquet, but it would be held grandly.

On the way to the photography company, Blake suddenly thought of something. She said, “Liam, let’s stop by the phone store.”

Liam replied, “Okay.”

He did not ask her why. After arriving at the phone store, Blake got a new SIM card and canceled the old one.

She had also upgraded her phone to the latest model. She bought the same model for Liam, too.

After they left the phone store, she handed the phone to him. “Consider this my first wedding gift to you. Liam, from now on, I’ll try my best to be very, very good to you.”

Liam hugged Blake. “You don’t need to treat me very well. I’m already very happy to be able to marry you.

“Thank you for agreeing to marry me!”

Blake leaned comfortably against Liam’s chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. When they parted, she took her old SIM card and broke it.

She was lost in her thoughts as she looked at the broken SIM card. ‘Kevin, we’re done! You focus on your affairs, and I’ll focus on mine.

‘From now on, we’ll have nothing to do with each other.’

She had completely let go of Kevin the moment she threw her old SIM card into the trash can.

The wedding dresses inside the glass display cabinets in the wedding photography studio were all customized by Liam at some point.

Blake did her makeup before going to the changing room to change into a new wedding dress.

Liam had his styling done outside the changing room. The moment Blake walked out, he was mesmerized.

Blake wore a wedding gown for the first time. She was a little nervous standing in front of Liam. She asked, “Do I look good?”

Liam held her hand. He looked at the diamond ring on her finger and smiled. “In my eyes, you’re always the most beautiful person.”

Blake replied, “You always know what to say.”

In another shooting room, Audrey noticed that Kevin was constantly watching a couple downstairs about to get married.

Audrey wore a champagne-colored dress, which she would wear for their engagement. This was her favorite color.

She walked over to Kevin. The diamond ring on her finger, which she personally selected, was quite large. She watched as Kevin stared unwaveringly at Blake downstairs.

Finally, Audrey could not help but say, ” Kevin, if you want to see her, go ahead.

“I know I’m not important to you. But I just can’t stand seeing you both so clearly in love, yet you have to watch her marry someone else. Kevin, I’m so sorry. Once my family gets through this difficult time, I’ll help you explain things to Blake.

“You two shouldn’t end up like this.”

Kevin clenched his fists as he watched Blake and Liam hug and kiss. “It’s fine.”

Blake and Liam took three sets of photos. She was satisfied with all of them.

Feeling hot, she fanned herself with her hand. “Liam, I’m so tired! Why don’t we just stop for now? This dress is too heavy. Can we do more in the future?”

Upon hearing this, Liam carried her in front of everyone.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
