The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1243 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1243

In the end, Liam was too eager to do this. Blake also did not know when Liam had made the invitation.

The next day, Blake met Cecilia at her office at Jardin Corporation. After she had decided to go along with Cecilia’s wishes and started going out with Liam, she had informed Cecilia about it. Cecilia heard this and was pleased.

Naturally, Cecilia hoped Blake would become Mrs. Xander as soon as possible. That way, Cecilia could push for Julian Xander to become the mayor without any worries. Liam could take the position of general secretary soon, too.

“I’ve already done as you’ve told me to. Are you going to do as you promised and not hurt Madelyn?” Blake asked her.

Cecilia smiled and stared at her. She replied, “Of course, as long as Madelyn doesn’t appear in Ventropolis, I’ll forgive what she’s done in the past. You’d better hope she never appears before me again.”

Blake shouted, “In the end, you still want to go against her. You’re a liar.”

Cecilia slammed the table and suddenly stood up. She argued, “I’m bending over backward for you, so what else do you want me to do? Stop pushing your luck just because you’re my sister. Even I have a limit to my patience!”

“I’m your sister, and you should always consider my position since I’m family. What have Madelyn and Zach fed you to make you so loyal to them? I don’t understand what’s so good about her!” Cecilia questioned her.

Blake answered, “Admit it! You’re jealous of her. You don’t have a sliver of her beauty and none of her kindness. You’ll never be comparable to her because she’s never hurt anyone before.

After she finished, Blake turned around and left the office. Cecilia immediately crashed everything on her table onto the floor in a rage.

On the other hand, Blake thought of where Madelyn had gone numerous times. She had only seen the person who took Madelyn away once. He was a beautiful man who had been dressed in a white tuxedo. However, Blake also had suspicions about whether Cecilia had found Madelyn.

‘Could it be that Cecilia did all this to force me to marry Liam? Can I still trust Liam?” Blake thought.

Blake raised her head and stared at Liam, who was searching for documents. Her gaze darkened as she thought, ‘This won’t do. I can’t let Cecilia have her way. I need to make a move, too.”

Kevin had told her before that her subconscious would tell her what to do should anything happen. Blake thought this was a perfect opportunity to search for someone. She needed to find Kai Stewart. Only by looking for him could she know where Madelyn had gone.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
