The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Chapter 1241 by Max Charming

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1241

“How about we sneak the child out of Southern Haven Villas? Madelyn doesn’t care whether Zach lives or dies, but I refuse to believe she wouldn’t care about the life of her child,” said Cecilia.

She leaned against Agustin’s chest and said, “I’ve been searching for Madelyn all this time, but I have no idea where she’s hiding. Besides, Kai went off to the research institute. Our people can’t get in there. It’s impossible to find out her whereabouts.”

Agustin looked at Cecilia in his arms expressionlessly. “The Turner family now guards the Southern Haven Villas. It had a state-of-the-art defense and alarm system before Zach left. The general public can’t get in, and even if they manage to, they won’t make it out alive.”

Cecilia excitedly suggested, “How about we set up explosives around the place and blow up Southern Haven Villas? We can dig a tunnel and bury the explosives underground. That way, it won’t be so

complicated.”

Agustin said, “You are indeed ruthless.”

Cecilia laughed boldly, “But you like me this way, don’t you?” She

leaned in and kissed him slowly. In just a few minutes, a passionate

atmosphere filled the office, the sounds making people’s hearts race

and faces blush.

For some reason, Blake felt an inexplicable discomfort in her chest. It

was a rare occurrence for her, and her anxious mind always

anticipated that something might happen. Just then, Liam walked in after finishing the call. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

Blake smiled and shook her head, “I’m fine. Is the call over?”

Liam answered, “Yes. I’ve booked a restaurant for tonight. Whether it’s a real wedding or a fake one, I hope you can meet her. If she gets to see you, she’ll surely be happy.”

Blake agreed, “Let’s get something for your mom when we go. It wouldn’t be nice to meet her empty-handed.”

“Okay, I’ll go with your plan,” said Liam.

Liam seemed to truly care about her. Most of what Blake knew about Liam’s mother was from his words. According to him, his mother was a very gentle person. She used to be the lead singer in a dance troupe and had fallen in love with his father at first sight. They eventually privately committed to each other, and Liam came into the picture later.

However, little did they expect that Liam would become a casualty of their marriage falling apart. Now, his mother had remarried and had a new family. Regardless, Blake knew she needed to meet her.

In the evening, they ultimately chose a restaurant that was closer to where Liam’s mother was staying. It took them about an hour and a half to get there.

Madelyn Jent died on her wedding anniversary. She had been married to Zach Jardin for eight years, compromising for the better part of her life. However, she ended up being kicked out of the house. After the painful divorce, Madelyn was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her deteriorating health, she clung to life in the hospital, hoping that Zach would visit her one last time. As Valentine's Day arrived, heavy snow fell outside. Yet, Zach failed to make an appearance, leaving Madelyn with a deep sense of regret. "Zach Jardin... If I could start over, I would never fall in love with you again!"

Miraculously, Madelyn found herself reborn to the time when she was eighteen. Fueled by the desire to avoid repeating the same mistakes, she made a solemn vow to distance herself from everything related to Zach. But fate seemed determined to test her resolve. Just as she sought to escape the shadows of her past, the same man, Zach, emerged with an intimidating aura, gradually approaching her step by step. His voice, reminiscent of a devil's melody, echoed through the hallway as he declared, "Madelyn, I'll take care of you for the rest of your life..."

Chapter 1 On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Madelyn Jent, a 31-year-old woman, lost her battle to cancer. Inside a room in SereneCare Hospital in Ventropolis, the air was filled with a strong scent of disinfectant. [Zach, the doctor inserted a painful dialysis needle in me today.] [I'm on the verge of death. Could you spare a moment to visit me?] [Please, Zach...] Madelyn weakly turned her head and glanced at the text messages on her phone. Despite sending multiple messages, she had received no response from Zach. IV drips were connected to her veins. Her face was pale, her eyes sunken, and her body emaciated. Cancer had ravaged her limbs, causing them to deteriorate. She was completely immobile, unable to perform even the simplest tasks unaided. The nurse assigned to care for her hadn't shown up for almost two weeks, citing that further treatment was unnecessary. Madelyn was sensitive to the pain, but in the advanced stage of her cancer, she had to suffer with it every day. The only thing that kept her going was her love for Zach. But now, her once overwhelming love for him had faded. She was left with nothing but a frail and ailing body. Madelyn switched off her phone and silently awaited the embrace of death. The pain had nearly blurred her consciousness. She reminisced about the eight years she had devoted to being Zach's faithful wife. But what had she gained in the end? One by one, those around her had abandoned her, leaving her alone and destitute. Madelyn couldn't help but think that Zach would perhaps feel the greatest relief upon her demise. With her gone, he no longer subjected to the sight of her face. He could finally satisfy his longing to bring Cecilia Samford home as his wife. Eight months ago, on Zach's birthday, Madelyn sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for his return. It was well past two o'clock in the morning, and the carefully prepared meal on the table had grown cold. Instead of Zach, it was his assistant who arrived, bearing a divorce agreement. The assistant delivered the news hesitantly, saying, "Madam, Mr. Jardin had no choice. The Jardin Corporation is a vast enterprise that requires an heir." Madelyn forced a pale smile. A few years ago, she had been pregnant, but an accident had tragically led to a stillborn child. Since then, she hadn't been able to conceive.
