Madelyn still went upstairs to find Kai in the office. He looked at the handwriting on the note and believed it looked like Yvonne’s handwriting. ‘Instead of focusing on recovering, she’s using this to lure Madelyn over to her.’
He squinted and pondered before saying, “Go and look for her. Who knows, maybe she really does have news to tell you. I’ll take care of the bodyguards for you. You can use the emergency passage in my office. If Zach comes over, I’ll text you. I’ll give you only ten minutes. Madelyn watched as Kai kept coughing. Ever since his recovery, his coughing problem had not improved. Madelyn did not ask him about it, as she believed since he was a doctor himself, he would be capable of taking care of such a minor issue.

After receiving the note, Madelyn knew Yvonne would not reveal information about Ethan to her so easily. Madelyn pursed her lips.
