Soon, I'll share the good news with all of you.” With her keen observation, Phoenix realized the cause of his good mood. She instinctively asked, “Could it be that the woman from the Ecclesiastic Order has accepted you?” Floyd didn't expect Phoenix's assumption to be spot on the first time. Catching the startled look on Floyd's face, Phoenix knew she was right. “Give me the details. Don't even think about lying to me. I'm sure I got it right,” Phoenix said with certainty. Letting out a resigned sigh, Floyd explained, “Actually, she didn't accept my feelings, not really. She would ignore me when I tried to talk to her before, but now she was talking to me again, so of course, I'm happy—” Wariness crossed Phoenix's face. “Is she lying to you, perhaps? I have a feeling that you're hiding something. I felt that she could easily sway your emotions. Look at yourself! You were in such a wretched state when she ignored you earlier.
