Digital God added, “On top of that, there's no way they can formulate the antidote in such a short time.” Both of them were certain that this was Idrae's plot to get the better of Levi, just like how the mysterious power had cheated them of significant resources previously. The Idrae always harbored the intention of tricking Levi and had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to do so. Much to everyone's surprise, Hydron deceived Levi before its rival could do so. Consequently, Idrae could only wait until Levi became desperate before making their move. By then, the man would have no choice whether to believe them. In his despair, he would be resigned to grasping at straws. Without any doubt, Levi had finally arrived at that stage, for the ice bed was now destroyed and Forlevia's poison was acting up. Idrae was just trying their luck by showing up now. It didn't really matter whether Levi believed them since they had nothing to lose. In fact, they would have a lot to gain if they managed to swindle him. Dr. Erebus and Digital God looked in Levi's direction. “Mr. Garrison, it is a ploy. I can bet my life on it. All they're trying to do is to trick you into giving them resources.” Everyone else agreed. “That's right, they must be faking it. Idrae is obviously trying to cheat you. It would be great for them if they succeeded. If not, they have nothing to lose too. Ignore them. Even if it can only ease the symptoms, I'm more than happy to accept it. I must take the chance as long as there's a sliver of hope. After all, those resources mean nothing to me especially since I have an unlimited supply. Evie's health is what truly matters!” Upon hearing Levi's reply, everyone heaved a long sigh. After all, no one would choose to believe in something with such a low probability of success if they had a choice. Levi looked at Dr. Erebus. “Erebus, contact Idrae and tell them I believe them. Also, invite them to Erudia for negotiations.” Dr. Erebus let out a long sigh before he agreed because trusting Idrae was considered an utter insult to them. They knew Levi hated Idrae more than them and he had made the decision out of desperation. When Dr. Erebus saw how Levi was forced into submission by his own circumstances, he felt indignant on the latter's behalf. “All right then. I'll get in touch with them.” With that, Dr. Erebus did as he was instructed. “I—” Meanwhile, the infuriated Digital God clenched his fists in rage. Glancing at Levi, he had a lot to say but swallowed his words instead. They understood he was making the right choice as a father, even if Idrae was lying all along.
