Clayton seemed to smile self-deprecatingly. He had given everything for this relationship, including himself.
Perhaps to onlookers, he was lowering himself, but he knew that Nicole was insecure. It was only natural that he had to put in several times more effort than others.
Nicole buried herself in his neck and muttered in a muffled voice. “Marrying you won’t mean anything. You’re the only one in my heart anyway.”
Clayton raised his brows. He could not believe his ears.
Even in bed, he could not get her to say such heartfelt words, but now, she said them so naturally and easily.
Clayton had really gone through an emotional roller coaster today.
That hint of reluctance when he left earlier completely dissipated.
Everything was worth it.
Clayton looked at Nicole’s delicate and beautiful face and wanted to go a little further, but he knew that now was not the time.
He reached out and lifted her chin, squeezing it tightly. His gaze was warm and soft as his eyes deepened.
“Then coax me a little.”
It was clearly a request, but when he said it, it sounded more like a demand.
Nicole froze for a moment before kissing his lips.
Their lips and teeth met, and her tongue was sweet. He seemed to be immersed in the kiss that was so long that the two of them lost themselves. They were getting more reluctant to part from each other.
However, Clayton let go and pressed his forehead against hers. His gaze was dazed.
“Babe, that’s not enough. Call me hubby?”
Clayton was pushing his luck. Although he could not be her official husband, he still had to make her say it.
Nicole held her breath, and Clayton took the opportunity to kiss her again. When he seduced
her, his restraint always had a fatal temptation.
Every time he got closer, Nicole felt like her soul left her body.
“Call me hubby.”
Clayton cupped her chin. His voice was deep, and his dark eyes narrowed.
He subtly forced her because this was the only way he could accept it.
Clayton took a step closer to her and asked her to step closer to him in return.
It was more meaningful if the two ran toward each other, right?
Nicole could not help it. Her heart trembled as she went dizzy from his superb kissing skills.
However, he did not let her go.
She bit her lower lip and looked delicate and charming. He held her legs when she tried to kick him. It seemed like he was in control no matter what she did.
He peppered kisses on her and did not give up. “Call me hubby and I’ll let you go, ‘kay?”
Nicole really could not help it and said in a weak voice. “Hubby…”
Clayton heard her and laughed, then gave her a deep kiss. His overwhelming strength instantly drowned her.
At that moment, they were both spiritually satisfied.

Nicole did not tell Grant about Eric’s conditions.
Floyd’s condition seemed to be stable. He could eat and drink, but he could not do any
strenuous exercise.
Eric called Nicole a few times before he got on the plane, but she did not answer.
Then, he sent his flight details over, and she knew what he meant.
Nicole told Floyd that something happened in the office, so she had to attend to it. Floyd waved his hand and told her to go at ease.
Kai did not budge an inch away from Floyd’s side, letting everyone at the hospital know that h e was a rare and dutiful son.
Nicole and Clayton set out for the airport together. The two of them did not speak, but the closer they got to the airport, the more unpleasant Nicole’s face became.
Her mood soured at the thought that she would have to face Eric later.
When she got out of the car, the plane had not landed yet, so the two of them stood in the VIP lounge near the airport’s VIP exit.
Her mood could not be calmed.
Clayton held her hand beside her and could not help but comfort her.
“It’s okay, babe. I’m here. Don’t worry.”
