“It’s my first day in the office, so I ought to be on good terms with everyone, right? I have to leave a good impression on everyone. Otherwise, should I be like the cold-faced Grant, walking around like everyone owes him money?”
Kai had a plan for his professional persona.
Even if he could not be as radiant as he was in the entertainment industry, he could not forgo his persona and must still be the center of attention.
There were so many people around the office. If someone suddenly records a video or takes a photo saying that Kai was putting on airs, then his value would fall to nothing.
Nicole knew that Kai could not let go of his celebrity ego and deliberately provoked him.
“Then don’t feel so guilty. Why were you scared sh*tless just now? There were so many people just now. What if word spreads that you’re a playboy and make something out of nothing? You can throw your image out the window and simply quit the entertainment industry then.”
Kai sheepishly pursed his lips. He was a little guilty. He did not think so much earlier, just that he did not want Grant to feel so happy on his first day of work. Thus, he deliberately found some trouble.

Nicole coldly snorted. “I already helped you to chase her last time. If you lose her this time, you’re responsible!”
Kai’s face changed slightly. “It’s not that bad, right?”
He was feeling pretty good about himself.
Nicole sneered. If Julie really decides to break up with him, would he still think that Julie just went on vacation?
Kai really had such a natural sense of security. “Then you don’t need to be anxious. Let’s just wait and see!”
Nicole left this sentence and stood up, but Kai immediately stopped her.
“Lil N, is she angry with me? Should I go to Italy to look for her?”
Kai was really planning to do so.

If Kai left, who would take care of the company’s affairs?

“She’s still angry, so if she sees you, she’ll just get more annoyed. If you go, you’re just asking for trouble. It’ll only intensify your conflict!”
These words moved Kai.

“Then I won’t go.”
Nicole smiled. “Just admit your mistake. Nothing is better than a profound self-reflection.”
Kai paused. His gaze sank.
“How am I wrong?”
“You’re not?” Nicole asked him back.
Kai said, “How am I at fault? I didn’t even scold her about going out at night to drink with a group of men! You and Yvette also went to that bar, right?”
Kai’s interrogation made Nicole slightly stunned.
Nicole remembered that Yvette mentioned that the bar owner had left a surprise for them.
However, Nicole was too worried about Clayton back then, so she left early.
Did something happen afterward?
Nicole blinked and shrugged. “So what? Will it be normal for us women to ask other women escorts to accompany us for a drink?”
Kai was so angry that he could not say anything.
He stared at her intently.
Nicole could not help but laugh. “It must’ve been Yvette’s idea. Julie isn’t that kind of person. Don’t you know her? Even if it’s a social occasion, Julie knows her limit. Not to mention, it’s our private party, so what are you worrying about?”
