Kai pouted at Grant’s warning.
He only pursed his lips and did not dare to curse Eric any longer.

Nicole thought quietly for a moment and nodded.
“Let’s wait for Clayton’s health to improve first. We can’t let anything go wrong for now.”
Grant nodded.

“If Eric finds out that Lil N isn’t dead, will he come over to look for trouble?”

“What right does he have to come and look for trouble? Our family didn’t ask for his help!”
Kai snorted. “Exactly!”

Grant smiled faintly. “Uncle Sven, it seems there’s good
news?”
Director Sven sighed in relief. “Yes. As you can see, Mr. Sloan has recovered very well. All his vitals are within the normal range of recovery. It’s even better than we expected.”
Everyone let out a sigh of relief at the same time.
Nicole looked at him. “So, when can he be discharged?”
Director Sven hesitated for a while. “His physical condition still needs regular observation. If nothing goes wrong, he can b e discharged in half a month.”
Nicole was finally at ease.
Director Sven said, “Well, now that the checks are done, you can go in and talk to him if you want, but don’t take too long. Finish everything within twenty minutes. He still needs to rest, so he can’t be too exhausted.”
Then, Director Sven smiled and left.
Naturally, Nicole walked in without hesitation.
Kai straightened his clothes and was just about to go in when Grant grabbed him by the collar.
Kai’s eyes widened in shock.
“Grant… What are you doing?”
Kai struggled but did not manage to break free.
Grant’s tone was extremely cold. “What are you going in there for?”
“I’m going to see Clayton. After all, he might be part of our family in the future, so now’s a good opportunity to cultivate our feelings! I used to say a lot of bad things about him, so now I have to reverse my impression!”
Grant was very impatient. “Talk about it later. Hurry up and go back to accompany Dad.”
Kai was speechless.

“Kai, Director Sven said that Clayton can’t be too stressed and needs to rest. Just this short amount of time isn’t even enough for him and Lil N to finish talking. Let’s not go in for now.”

Nicole walked to the side and sat down. Clayton leaned back and looked at her with a weak smile.
He stretched out his hand, and Nicole obediently placed her hand in his.

“You must’ve been scared, right?”
His throat was dry. He had not spoken for a few days and was a little uncomfortable.
Nicole nodded, holding back the sourness in her nose, and sighed.
“It’s okay. It’s good that you’re awake now.”
After saying that, her pitch changed, and she suddenly choked.
