The people below the stage had great opinions about Quavon going back on his word.
Although this benefit did not belong to them, they disliked such dishonest behavior.
Quavon was like a scoundrel.
Quavon’s face was red with anger. It was amusing to see his expression.
Nicole laughed.
“How could you still have the nerve to get the decision- making power when you got the company into this state? Chairman Sloan, I believe that if you continue to stay on the board, the entire corporation will probably go bankrupt!”
“Nicole, don’t get too complacent!” Quavon spoke viciously. Nicole looked at him calmly and snorted lightly.
There was no sentiment to speak of in a business competition.
Here, age and seniority did not have any advantage. When competing, they were just rivals.
Thus, Nicole’s words were not polite.
“Or what? Should the company be in the hands of someone who went back on his word like you? It’s no wonder Sloan Corporation is in ruins!”
Quavon’s face turned glum. He ruthlessly glared at her like he wanted to skin her alive.
“Clayton!”
Quavon bellowed and pointed at the man next to Nicole.
“Are you really going to sit still? Are you indifferent even when you see this woman trying to crush Sloan Corporation?”
Quavon did not wait for Clayton to answer. He suddenly stood up and reached out to point at Nicole. His voice was hoarse but resounded throughout the venue.
“Nicole, you deliberately seduced Clayton to let him cooperate with you just to take away Sloan Corporation? Clayton, have you ever thought if this woman will continue to be with you after she’s done using you? She has countless suitors behind her, and her family background is much stronger than yours. If you betrayed Sloan Corporation, the only one that can support you, how will she look at you in the future?”
In an instant.
The hall was silent.
Those who understood or did not quite understand stared dumbfoundedly at Quavon for his gaffe.
It seemed that there was an even more explosive secret.
Nicole expressionlessly lifted her eyelids. The smile on her face had long disappeared, and her eyes were chilly.
She was restraining her emotions, but her cold and clear eyes were still without ripples.
On the side, Clayton looked indifferent, but the veins on the back of the hand were bulging because of his clenched fists.
Clayton turned sideways and looked at Nicole. His whole body was tense.

Clayton never wanted Nicole to be grateful, but he did not want to see her reacting like this.

Clayton immediately lowered his eyes to hide the uncontrollable panic, fear, and nervousness in them.
He let out a low laugh in his heart. How could he end up like this?
Just as Clayton’s heart continued to fall downward, as if he could not see any hope, the abyss was calling out to him.
Suddenly, the woman beside Clayton stood up.
Nicole looked straight ahead at Quavon, imposing and confident.
“Chairman Sloan, there’s no need for you to stir up trouble. Your tactics are too low. I originally planned to announce this after the matter is settled, but it looks like I have to say it in advance today.”
The crowd looked at her.
Nicole looked at Logan and nodded her head. Logan pursed his lips and silently took out another document from his bag. He put it on the projector and showed it to everyone.
