Kai clicked his tongue twice. ”Of course! I had more fun than you. Compared to you two, I look like a hedonistic trust fund kid!”
Grant finally reacted and spoke indifferently.
“Aren’t you?”
Kai and Nicole were speechless. Kai rubbed his nose and coughed. “I’d better go up to bed!”
Halfway up the steps, Kai paused, looked at Nicole, and winked.
Nicole did not understand.

The caller ID read: Wife.
