It appeared that the shipment was of utmost importance. As Josie listened, she also pondered. The vehicle was now locked, and the windows were soundproofed. Even if she spoke, Dexter wouldn’t be able to hear her. She thoroughly examined everything inside the car, searching for a weak spot.
“Arnold, you’ve misunderstood,” Dexter’s eyes darkened. “I didn’t report it.”
Arnold’s patience was wearing thin. “You’ve reported me many times, even if not this time.”
Dexter fell silent for a moment. “At most, I can sever the leads they can follow. But I can’t retrieve that shipment.”
It was something that would harm both him and others. If he were taken to court, he would face a death sentence. Even with Dexter’s extraordinary abilities, he couldn’t compel the police to return it.
Josie’s hands were handcuffed in the back seat as she struggled to lean forward, searching for communication tools but to no avail. Disheartened, she accidentally touched the car’s built-in navigation, and the screen lit up.
Her eyes brightened. The advantage of a luxury car was evident here-the navigation system was top-notch.

Dexter understood and gestured to Larry, who handed over a phone. He dialed a number in front of Arnold. Stepping to the side, he spoke a few words before ending the call.

Having achieved his goal, Arnold let out a slight sigh of relief, yet remained vigilant. He reached out, and his bodyguard handed him a pack of cigarettes. Taking out two, he approached Dexter.
Seeing the situation, Moses immediately stepped in. Arnold pushed him aside and said, “When I met your boss, you weren’t even around yet.”
Moses took a few steps back.
“Dexter.” A black cigarette was offered. “I’ll be there to toast your wedding on the fifteenth.”
Dexter took the cigarette, his lips slightly curved. “I thought with the performance today, you wanted something more intriguing from me.”
Understanding his meaning, Arnold laughed. “I know my limits when it comes to challenging you.”
Dexter’s eyes blended with the darkness of the night, revealing nothing of his thoughts. His gaze fell upon Arnold’s car.
At that moment, a loud noise erupted from inside the car. The bodyguard cried out in alarm. Arnold was just about to react when a black bullet whizzed past his ear. His pupils dilated.
The two men locked eyes before simultaneously taking action. Dexter’s slender fingers pressed against Arnold’s shoulder. Arnold, not to be outdone, swiftly moved away with his long legs. He pulled out a black gun from his lower back and quickly loaded it. “Damn it, Dexter! Did you bring the police?”
Around the harbor, an unknown number of plainclothes officers were lurking. Arnold’s henchmen, each armed with a gun, were vigilantly scanning their surroundings. He glared at Dexter with intense hatred. No wonder he came alone! It turns out he had this in mind.
Dexter stood at a distance, his brow furrowed. He surveyed the surroundings and angrily questioned in a low voice, “Who informed the police?”
Moses and Andy exchanged glances. “It wasn’t us!”
The arrival of the police startled Arnold. He took a step back, pointing the gun at Dexter. At that moment, another figure with a gun emerged, moving professionally. “Arnold Carter, it’s not too late to drop the gun now!”
