“As for Arnold, his whereabouts remain unknown to this day.
With everything said and done, Rachel found herself in a nearly hopeless situation. She stared blankly at the ceiling, imagining her impending fate.
Suddenly, she spoke, “Don’t be too pleased with yourself, Josie. I have never regretted it.”
Josie remained silent, waiting for Rachel’s next words.
“On the contrary, I am deeply grateful to Arnold. Without him, I would still be an unwanted orphan. Just an ordinary person among the masses, struggling for three meals a day, looked down upon by others, with no one to rely on. He gave me an opportunity, and I seized it desperately. If I hadn’t held on tightly, that would have been my fate. Rachel spoke softly.

This person had simply gone mad. Josie looked down at Rachel, her gaze filled with disdain.

Even at that point, she was still regretting not being more meticulous, more ruthless.
Josie paused for a moment, her gaze instinctively drifting towards the door. Rachel was right. If it weren’t for Dexter, I wouldn’t have had such a smooth journey. Regardless, he had lent me a hand, and that is why I am where I am today.
Meanwhile, outside the door, Dexter was leaning against the wall, having finished smoking three cigarettes. Secretary Huo’s phone calls kept coming in, one after another, reminding him that the meeting had already started ten minutes ago. If he didn’t show up soon, the shareholders were going to lose their minds.
Yet, Dexter kept saying, “Just wait a little longer.”
Seeing the situation unfold, Moses couldn’t stand by any longer. He attempted to reassure him, “Don’t worry about Josie. With me and the others here, nothing will happen.”
Dexter didn’t voice whether it was good or bad, he just continued to smoke.
