After all these years, my daughter was sent to prison, and my husband’s company is barely fending for itself, but you’re still being held back by everything! Don’t forget that Anna and I are the ones who are actually closest to you! Besides, what will we lose? We’ll just let that man have a look at the necklace, and we’ll even get money out of it!”
Henry dismissed her impatiently. “Enough. Don’t you know your own daughter? If I hadn’t given up my reputation, do you think she’d still be alive? Eleanor may have spent 15 million just like that, but just ask her, what else does she have besides money? Her husband is never at home, and her son treats her like a servant. Stop comparing yourself with others; even though we aren’t living the ideal lifestyle, we’re not living on the streets, right? Learn to be grateful!”
