Oops! I Married A CEO By Mistake Chapter 67

67- Can’t go to sleep without him.

They had their dinner outdoor in peace. On the chef’s recommendation, they tried Caribbean specialties which were Callalo soup accompanied with garlic bread, pepper pot, and Black pudding also known as Boudin.

Hunter knew about the dishes as he had visited the place before. But Abigail had tried them for the first time and she enjoyed the meal to the core. After dinner, they were served cheese-filled Bakes, again their regional sweet dish specialty.

“Swimming?” After dinner, Hunter asked her and she nodded enthusiastically. Putting on a blue bikini she opted for a floral blue kimono which she had bought here, to go with it.

When she came out she was a little conscious about her body. He has practically seen you without your clothes, Abigail! Don’t you remember the night when he took off your clothes and bathed you? You don’t have anything to hide.

Taking a deep breath she headed forward. Hunter was already taking laps. Their drinks were placed near the pool. She went ahead and sat beside the tray dangling her feet in the water, looking around.

After a few minutes, Hunter joined her to pick up his drink. Water droplets were traveling down on his hardboard body.

Abigail had this sudden urge to wipe them off his body. An alien kind of tingling started between her legs. The same familiar sensation when he used to look at her, laugh with her, or used to lean closer to her.

As if on cue, she picked up her glass. Hunter raised his glass to his lips observing her. She took the sip and watched the glass with a surprised expression on her face. “What is this?” she smelled it before taking another sip.

“It’s their traditional local rum, Rum punch.”

“Umm. Nice!” she nodded her head in approval. “What made you invest in here? I mean you knew the place? ”

“No. But in the next five years, I intend to build Sapphire Galaxy on every honeymoon destination.” He said putting his arm casually on her thigh.

“Would we visit every destination?” she had hope in her eyes but what she said next blew everything away. “I only have two years with you. Would you be able to do it within this period?”

Hunter’s jaw clenched before he answered in a whisper, “Well. We can try!.” Leaving her there he started swimming again. I am a pig head.

Abigail cursed herself. She was not able to fulfill his only demand, which was not to remind him about the contract.

I owe him an apology. She was waiting for him to come back for another glass of rum, but it seemed he was no more interested in it. He kept swimming, his strong muscles rippling the water under his body.

After a long wait when he did not stop she took off her kimono and stepped down in the pool. Very gradually she immersed herself in water and tried to catch up. He had to stop when she reached for him. Avoiding her gaze, he went to a corner quietly and just stood there. Exactly like she did, when she was upset about the big house.

The water droplets on his muscular body were inviting her again. She tried to avert her gaze from his hard chest.

He looked a little intimidating but she had to initiate, she reminded herself. She was the cause of it. Plus she should not worry about his wrath or annoyance because no matter how angry he was, he would never harm her.

She went closer to him and held him casually around his waist, just like he had been holding her whenever she was upset. Hunter was still not looking at her face but she did not give up or backed off. “Hunter!” His jaw was clenched.

“I am sorry Hunter.” She whispered, Hunter was quiet, still giving her silent treatment. She took a step further and tightened her grip on his waist. “I am so sorry, sweetheart!” Hunter’s head snapped up. She had never used any endearment for him.

“I am so sorry.” And then she did not know what went into her. She tied her arms around his neck and placed her lips on the corner of his mouth.

A sharp breath escaped his mouth and with a helpless moan, he tied his arms around her and opened his mouth to claim her lips.

He was not gentle she realized. He was angry and he was punishing her. Instead of fighting him, she started trailing her hands on his smooth back.

Unintentionally, she was taming the beast inside him. When she started massaging his chest, he groaned and gentled the kiss tightening his embrace.

He broke the kiss and looked at her face. He moved and very gently switched places, with Abigail in the corner so that she could lean on the wall. Placing his palm under her head to avoid any bump, he took her mouth hungrily and started kissing her again.

Abigail’s control was snapping. She did not want to let him go. Her hold was fiercely tight around his neck. Just then he bit her lower lip, the moment she gasped, his tongue entered her mouth, tasting her, discovering every inch of her mouth.

A moan escaped her lips which was muffled by his mouth. They were going crazy, she realized. When Hunter left her mouth, they both were panting for breath, their foreheads leaning on each other.

“Hunter. What is happening?” She was all confused.

“Our bodies are not happy… I guess.” He whispered his eyes still closed, his voice still breathless.

“Not happy? But why?”

“Because remember? We got married. Our bodies know that they are supposed to stay close.”

Oh my God, he was talking about marriage consummation! She leaned back to look at his face. His eyes were still closed. Tightening her grip on him she leaned her cheek on his chest.

“Abigail. We need to get out of the water. You would fall sick.” He said softly but Abi did not move. She just stayed there and closed her eyes.

“Sugar.” She heard his amused voice but did not move.

“Hunter! Just five more minutes. Please?”

She felt him nodding his head and relaxed.

Why did it feel like she was home? She did not want to leave his embrace. His scent. She found it soothing to hear his heartbeat.

“Your five minutes are over.” He murmured near her ear. Taking a deep breath she nodded and tried to place some distance, but he did not let her do it. He just stayed close to her, and extra careful too when she was coming out of the pool, which was a good thing because the pool ladder had become a little slippery for her.

She reached the towel stand in record time but her body had already started shivering. Hunter was behind her when he helped her to place the towel around her body. Her teeth had started chattering when he scooped her up and carried her to the bathroom.

When he was leaving her, she held his hand. He turned around, giving her a questioning look. “Have you forgiven me?”

“Now don’t start it again, sugar. I don’t want to kiss you senselessly, otherwise, we would end up in bed. And I don’t want to do anything which you would regret later.”

Removing a damp hair from her face, he held up her chin. “I can’t stay mad at you. Moreover, I am not a saint, Mrs. Levisay. I promised you that nothing would happen without your consent. But

“But?” she waited for him to continue.

He turned around to leave and stopped by the door, “But while giving you my word for it, I forgot that my wife is beautiful. Too beautiful to resist!” With that he left, leaving her somewhat stunned.

After the shower, she came out wearing his t-shirt and cotton shorts. He was sitting on the study table going through his laptop which he had brought for work.

“Won’t you come to sleep?” she asked while climbing on the bed.

“Just two minutes, sugar. Tomorrow I have to attend a meeting.”

“Meeting?” Now that was a surprise for her. Weren’t they were on their honeymoon?

“Hmm. That’s totally unexpected and unplanned. But don’t worry, it won’t take long. After the meeting, we would discover this place.” He said without moving his eyes from his laptop. ”

There are few things we need to discuss with the management of La Soufriere.”

She laid on the bed. She was waiting for him but he seemed too immersed in his work. Is he avoiding me? Because he is scared that he would end up in bed with me? But he should know that I am used to having his arms around me.

She was tossing and turning in bed trying to sleep.

“Trouble in falling asleep?” She heard his amused voice from the corner of the room. But instead of replying to him, she stayed quiet. I am not stupid enough to let him know that I need him.

She felt the mattress beside her dipping in. He took her in his arms and clutched her tightly. Though she remained wooden hard telling him silently that she was mad at him. But in her heart, she was pleased that he had come to her.

He nuzzled his nose in her neck.

“Loosen it up, Abigail. I don’t want to sleep all alone without holding you.”

Really? Then what would you do when I won’t be here, anymore? Because I don’t know what am I going to do without you.

But she could not say that out loud. He would not like it and then would be mad at her again. Come on Abi! Suck it up! You have two years. Just make most of it. Don’t think about it when it’s inevitable. Make it memorable!

With that thought, she snaked her arm around him and pulled him to her, making him smile.
