60- The Wedding
The doors to the church opened and music started with bridesmaids coming inside. Molly was leading them. Naturally!
Abigail was waiting outside the doors for her turn. She had Rafael by her side to give her away. It was Abi’s wish and Rafael accepted it happily.
“Abi! Now is the time to run away from the devil.” He said wiggling his brows.” You know you can always count on me. But instead of answering him, Abi just clutched his arm. Damn! She was nervous. 16
Inside, Hunter was smiling standing there with Ethan beside him. He could feel the joy in the air. The ecstasy!
He looked at Granma and Pa sitting in the front row and smiled. Beside them was sitting Geena with Chloe and Kyle.
Richard was also there. Geena wanted so badly for Chloe to be a bridesmaid but Chloe did not feel like it. Geena was disappointed but Abi and Molly both were relieved.
After a few moments, Abigail made the entrance accompanied by Rafael. There was an expected uproar when the guests saw Rafael Wyatt, the handsome movie star with her. But thankfully it was short-lived.
Hunter could see her smiling under the veil. She was wearing an ivory fil and flare tulle bridal gown which had a finish with covered button closure, a circular layered tulle skirt accompanied by chapel length train. It had a plunging front neckline and an elaborated lace applique bodice embellished with light crystal beading.
Her hair was styled in a classic chignon with tiny ivory-colored fresh flowers embedded. She simply looked ethereal.
Holding the bouquet in her hand she was looking at him, he realized. When they reached near him, Rafael gave her hand in his, “Here! She is yours. Do take care of her. And don’t let her go!”
Taking her hand in his Hunter nodded, and looked meaningfully at Abi, “I won’t.”
After the vows, rings were exchanged. ” I now pronounce you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
Turning towards her, Hunter lifted her veil. She suddenly felt nervous but it soon subsided when Hunter held her face very gently.
“Congratulations Mrs. Hunter Levisay.” He bent down to kiss his wife. His words evoked sparks in her body and his kiss awoke a strange yearning in her heart. She could hear people clap and hoot at Hunter’s prolonged kiss. She could not contain her laughter. They both were holding each other.
After the kiss, Hunter crushed her in his arms and kissed her head. It felt like the missing piece of his body came back to him. After releasing her, he held her hand.
Later they both were sitting in the car to reach their reception venue. A chauffeur was driving it while Hunter was sitting with her in the back seat. She did not know where it was going to be held. “Tired?” Hunter was still holding her hand. She shook her head, ” I hope I am not looking stupid because of this constant silly smile on my face.”
“You don’t look stupid, sugar. You look beautiful.” He said gently giving a quick kiss on her lips. She was not expecting that. After the kiss, he did not back off. His face was still close to hers. Just a few inches apart.
“What? Is something wrong?” she started to get nervous. “Is it my hair or dress?”
“It’s nothing honey. You are just too damn gorgeous.” He whispered trying to absorb her face through his eyes. Abigail’s heartbeat accelerated at the endearment. She chuckled and leaned her forehead on his chin which earned her an affectionate kiss on her head. She knew he was trying to sniff her perfume.
Her sudden gasp made him pull back, and then he realized what it was. She was not aware of the venue. It was the same mansion Hunter had decided to buy. Right now it was so full of lights and colors. The decoration and arrangement had transformed it into something magical. It felt like home.
“Surprise number one! Liked it?” she turned around and saw a cocky smile on his lips.
“You did this?” She asked to which he just shrugged. Her understanding was, Hunter would do it at Sapphire Galaxy.
Ok, so mister planned this surprise! Cool!
Every guest present there was in awe of the mansion and its connecting lawns. On behalf of Hunter, Mrs. Ann announced to the guests that they all were welcome to take the round of the outdoors, including the lawns and the pool, and right after one hour they needed to join back for the meal. Waiters were wandering around offering drinks to the guests.
When both of them entered the reception area, Rafael approached them, “I would like to take my leave, sweetheart.” He was there just for their wedding. “I just took the break for the wedding. But I need to get back to Turkey now.” His action movie was being filmed in Turkey.
Hugging him, Abi kissed his cheek,” Thanks for coming here and … for the favor.”
“Oh, it’s nothing.” He came forward to hug Hunter. “I am just a call away, Abigail! Do remember that.” Patting her cheek he left.
Everyone looked happy and feisty except Chloe who was constantly complaining about her backache making weird faces. The presence of Rafael Wyatt was something she was not expecting at all. And on top of it, Rafael giving away Abi’s hand to Hunter was something she was not able to digest. 2
That son of a bitch did not even glance at her. As if, it was not enough, the beautiful mansion where Abigail would be living with her handsome husband was making her burn in jealousy.
She could see the couple roaming around, meeting their guests. They both were holding hands throughout, and most of the time Hunter’s eyes were on Abigail.
After every few minutes, he was either hugging her or kissing her. What she did not realize was, that Hunter was not the only one who could not get his eyes off his wife.
Holding his drink, with a serious expression, Kyle was also there.
