Honestly, that was what Jason had thought. After getting his inner thoughts pointed out like that, he was rendered speechless. Then, he heard Ye Moxuan dryly retort, “I’m trying to get my memories back, not kill myself.” With that, he lifted his hands to undo the button on his shirt, one by one.
Faced with the humongous swimming pool—it was way larger than the one they used when they simulated the same scene before—Jason glanced around and suddenly said, “Let’s find a few more people to watch over you. I’m worried that if something happens, I won’t be able to save you by myself.”
Ye Moxuan’s hands stopped moving for a moment, then he agreed. Therefore, Jason hastily turned around to look for more people. Meanwhile, he took the chance to take out his phone to check for messages while he was at it. Then, he realized that Xiao Su’s WeChat had been silent—there was not a single message in response.
What the hell? What’s wrong with this b*stard? Does he not care for his precious Young Master Ye? I’ve shared my location with him for so long, but he hasn’t even noticed it? Nonetheless, he quickly noticed something wasn’t quite right. Staring at the map, he almost missed the fact that the little green dot indicating Xiao Su’s location was very close to his. In fact, they were almost overlapping. Upon his realization, he nearly yelled out in excitement. He didn’t expect Xiao Su to rush over in time. Ye Moxuan stood there with no changes in his expression. When he saw Jason approaching, he coldly asked, “Can I start now?”
“Hold your horses for a moment.” Now that he knew Xiao Su was rushing toward their location, Jason decided to try and drag things out for a little longer until his arrival. Maybe we would get a different result today?
“What?” Ye Moxuan arched his brow and looked at him. “Is there something else?”
“I was going over your medical condition carefully. It’s not like this is the only way to cure your condition; you don’t have to take this extreme route. Besides, based on my experience, there are very few people like you who regain their memories through this method. So, I came up with a better idea just now.”
“What idea?” Ye Moxuan frigidly questioned.
“There’s a solution to this, but we need to develop a specific plan. I was thinking that we shouldn’t be so rash today. Let’s go back first; once I’ve written up the plan, we can start working on it tomorrow if you’re happy with it.” Noticing that Ye Moxuan still had not made a single move, Jason looked at him doubtfully. “What do you think?”
“Heh.” Ye Moxuan chuckled, then coldly sneered, “What’s the use of telling me all these now?”
“You saw through me, didn’t you? Fine, I am trying to prevent you from entering the water today. You’ve been through a lot of mental shocks this week; it has all overlapped and compounded with each other. If something happens to you when you jump into the water today, I really can’t bear the responsibility for it.” Then, he hurriedly added, “But, I did come up with an idea just now. Knowing that Ye Moxuan would never go back with him, he was just trying to slow the man down. Though he seemingly understood his intentions, Ye Moxuan ignored him and steadily walked toward the side of the pool.

At this critical moment, a delicate female voice rang out in the room. “Is it fun to lie to me?”
There was no response to her question. The sudden appearance of her voice was like a ray of holy light to Jason; he glanced over at the source of the voice and saw a woman standing in his line of sight. Beside her stood several others, including Xiao Su. Their breathing was all over the place—they had rushed over. That’s great! I managed to hold out! Luckily I called out just now, otherwise Ye Moxuan would already be in the water right now!
At the sound of Han Muzi’s voice, Ye Moxuan felt like something had slammed into his heart. After a moment, he scowled fiercely, directing his ferocious gaze at Jason. He had chosen this spot on a whim, so Xiao Su couldn’t have known about it beforehand. The only person here with him was Jason, so it could only have been him who had leaked the news to them.
Jason met his gaze and took out his phone. “When we got in the car, I turned on my location sharing function. However, it wasn’t easy for them to find you either. I can only say that they were fast enough and brilliant enough to pull it off.” Sigh, this puts me in a tough spot. Although his intentions were good, facing Ye Moxuan, who looked like he was going to murder him, was still terrifying.
“I’m asking you a question.” The female voice from before rang out again. Almost instantly, Jason felt the hostility and anger directed toward him reduced by half. Jeez, is this the power of love? He gave a deep sigh in his heart, then began to unscrupulously size Han Muzi up.
As far as Jason was aware, Ye Moxuan had lost his mother a long time ago, so he had beef with the Ye Family, much less any affection for them. Sure enough, Ye Moxuan didn’t even dare to look back at her face, much less meet her eyes. The sounds in the surrounding areas seemed to disappear all of a sudden. Although there were many people present, it was so quiet that they could have heard the sound of a pin drop.
Remaining silent, Ye Moxuan had yet to answer Han Muzi’s question. Seeing how he wasn’t responding to her, she discarded her original intention to remain standing where she was and walked up to him instead.
Every single person present was watching this scene unfold with bated breath. They felt as if the surrounding atmosphere was cold enough to freeze. The room wasn’t all that warm in the first place, but now, it was downright chilly.
Stopping at a spot not too far away from him, Han Muzi gazed toward the surface of the water. “You don’t dare to tell me, or you can’t be bothered to tell me?”
The last few words in her sentence made Ye Moxuan frown, his thin lips pursing together tightly. He slowly turned around and met her eyes.
At this moment, Jason cleared his throat lightly and said, “Why don’t we take our leave now?” Then, he turned and left. The others didn’t want to hang around awkwardly either, so they followed after him.
When they arrived outside, a gust of cold wind blew toward them. Yan subconsciously hugged herself. Xiao Su, who was standing beside her, saw this and blurted out, “Are you cold?” Then, he took off his coat and draped it around her shoulders. “You just recovered from your fever; you need to remember to keep warm, or you’ll relapse again.”
Han Qing lifted his eyelids without anyone noticing, then glanced at the coat on Yan’s shoulders from the corner of his eyes.
