Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 874

After Han Muzi had finished changing her clothes, she took a look at Ye Moxuan, who was asleep. He was still in the same posture as earlier and didn’t move a muscle. It seemed as though the effects of the drug had caused him to fall into a deep sleep. This is good. I can use this time to quickly go to the hospital to have a check. If he wakes up before I come back, I’ll just tell him that I went to the supermarket to buy some groceries. If he hasn’t woken up, that’d be even better.

Han Muzi helped him with his blanket before she murmured, “I’ll be back soon. Sleep soundly.”

The sleeping man’s eyebrows twitched for a moment, but there wasn’t any other reaction. Soon after, Han Muzi went out the door. When she was going down to the lobby, Song An gave her a call to say that she had already left the hotel. “You can just call a cab and we’ll meet later at XX Hospital, alright?”

Song An used to live here, so Han Muzi didn’t have any doubts about what she said and nodded. “I know, Aunty Song. I’ll call a cab immediately.” Han Muzi increased her pace, but she felt an ache in her lower abdomen and it also didn’t help that last night’s fun activities made it harder for her to walk properly.

The ache wasn’t as bad when she first woke up from bed and now, she felt weaker with each step as if she had injured her wounds. She was afraid deep in her heart, so she could only walk slowly while calling a cab. When the cab dropped Han Muzi off at the hospital, Song An came up to support her the moment she got out of the car. “Are you okay?”

Han Muzi shook her head, but after taking two steps forward, she almost fell to the ground. Luckily, Song An was quick enough to catch her. The scene almost shocked the life out of Song An. She knew that Han Muzi was now a pregnant woman, so if she really fell down and injured herself, then she, as an aunt of hers, who was standing next to her, would have a hard time explaining herself.

“Why can’t you be careful?” Song An looked at her helplessly although there were traces of criticism in her eyes.

Han Muzi felt awkward in her heart. Initially, she refused to inform Song An about this matter because it was an embarrassing matter after all. However, given the current situation, she had to let Song An know. Now that she had been reprimanded by Song An, Han Muzi didn’t dare to talk back and only murmured, “I’m sorry, Aunty Song. My mind… drifted off a bit.”

Seeing that Han Muzi apologized to her with lowered eyelids, Song An realized that she went a tad bit overboard just now. Therefore, she softly coughed and changed her tone. “It’s fine. I don’t mean to blame you. It’s just that I was worried that you almost fell down.” Then, Song An brought Han Muzi inside the hospital.

When Han Muzi walked, she held back on her pain and was a bit slow in her pace. Song An also noticed her weird posture and twitched her lips, as if to say something but she didn’t. Forget it. The situation is already as such and there’s no point for me to say anything now. Let’s just wait for the test results and take it from there.

It was still early when they came to the hospital, so they didn’t need to wait in a line for a number and went to the doctor straight away for her check. Song An stayed by Han Muzi’s side during the whole process. After the results were out, the doctor frowned and said to her, “Your child isn’t even three months old. How could you be so careless?”

Han Muzi bit on her lower lip while Song An explained faintly on her behalf, “This is not an ordinary situation.”

“What kind of a special situation is this? Even if you couldn’t resist it, you still can’t do something like this. There are signs of miscarriage.”

Listening to the doctor made Han Muzi’s face pale and she almost collapsed. Fortunately, Song An was there to give her a hand or she would’ve definitely fallen on her back.

Song An couldn’t help but frown at the doctor’s words. “Doctor, the situation you’re saying will never happen again. She wasn’t even sure that she was pregnant. So isn’t that why we came to the hospital immediately after noticing something is wrong?”

The doctor shook her head resignedly, but after seeing Han Muzi speechless with a pale face when hearing about the signs of miscarriage, she felt sorry for Han Muzi, so she only said, “There’s only signs of misccariage, but that doesn’t mean it will lead to a miscarriage. If you look after yourself properly, you can still give birth successfully, but…” Her eyes fell on Han Muzi as she continued, “You will still need to be extra careful. You must not be startled and situations like this should never ever happen again.” As she finished, she advised her, “You need to stay in the hospital to recover.”

Stay in the hospital? Han Muzi immediately shook her head. “No, I can’t stay in the hospital.”

Listening to her, the doctor squinted her eyes at her and Song An quickly responded, “It’s like this. Our situation at home is quite complicated, so she can’t stay in the hospital for the moment. Doctor, is there any other way?”

The doctor was rendered speechless. Since the patient was unwilling to cooperate, she only thought of an alternative. At the end, she uttered, “Then you need to look after the child. When you return home, you need to lie down more often on the bed and rest. You also need to come here for your regular checkups. If there is any problem, come to the hospital immediately.”

Han Muzi accepted the advice and nodded. “Thank you, doctor.”

When they exited the hospital, it wasn’t early anymore. Han Muzi took out her phone to have a look and realized that there were many missed calls from Ye Moxuan. It seemed like he had woken up from his slumber.

“He called you?” Song An had a peek at her phone screen before asking.

Han Muzi nodded. “Yes.”

“Then, have you thought of what to say to him?” Han Muzi still thought about it and couldn’t answer Song An’s question. Then, Song An pressed her lips. “Do you want me to go back with you? I can help you explain.”

“No need for that, Aunty. I already feel sorry for troubling you to come with me to the hospital early in the morning. It was a tiring day for you yesterday, so today you should head back and have a rest.”

A rest? Song An raised her eyebrows and smiled. “You really are considerate. You really think I can sit still after what happened last night? I thought there wouldn’t be any unusual activities there, yet…” At this point, Song An’s eyes became colder.

Han Muzi wanted to say something, but her phone rang again. Song An smiled gently. “You don’t need to worry about me. I’m actually familiar with this place. After all, I’ve lived here before for many years. Since Moxuan is looking for you, you should go back now. Please be careful not to hurt your child again.”

Hearing her words, Han Muzi nodded with a blushed face. “Thank you, Aunty Song. I know.”

“Just call me ‘Aunty’ from now on. You don’t need to be this polite to me since we’re going to be a family soon.” Song An reached out to caress Han Muzi’s head while she spoke, “Go on now.”

After Han Muzi bid Song An farewell, she took a cab back. In the car, she answered Ye Moxuan’s call. “Hello?”

The other side was quiet for a few seconds before a husky voice was heard. “Where are you?”

Han Muzi had a look outside the car and smiled. “I went to the supermarket to buy some stuff. I’ll be back now.”

He hadn’t expected her to be at the supermarket, hence he remained silent for a while before urging her, “Come back earlier or you can send your location to me and I’ll pick you up.”

“No need for that. I’ll be back soon. Just wait for me.”

After the call ended, Ye Moxuan stared at the phone as he drifted away.
