Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 784

The next day, Han Muzi went to the dry cleaner’s to retrieve the coat. The dry cleaner had already helped her iron out the coat—it was smooth without a single wrinkle on it. Just seeing it put her in a good mood as she didn’t have to do it herself. Only…

She recalled the words Ye Moxuan had said to her in the office the other day. He had asked her if she was unaware of his germaphobic tendencies. He said he wouldn’t take back the coat and told her to throw it away. Well, if he’s such a hygiene-freak, why did he cover me with his coat then?

Thinking about it, before he lost his memories, why didn’t he bring up his germaphobia when he was hugging her, kissing her, and biting her? Who knew things would turn out so differently—he was so disgusted by her now.

She sighed heavily. After mulling over it, she took the coat out of the bag and hung it up in her closet. Whatever. If he doesn’t want the suit, then all the better for me. She hung the coat up in the most eye-catching spot in her closet. This way, she would see it immediately when she opened her closet to change her clothes every morning. Seeing his clothes would make her think of him and brighten up her entire day. Her rosy lips curved upward slightly at the thought.

Ding! Her phone that was placed on the desk rang—it was the notification sound indicating a WeChat message.

It’s Sunday today, who would send me a message on WeChat? She closed her closet door, walked over, and picked up her phone.

The message was from a person with the username ‘Little Georgie’ on WeChat; the profile picture was an extremely flashy rabbit wearing a pair of shorts and sporting a carrot on its head. She stared at it for a while before realizing it was George. She heard of this nickname from other people, but she never expected that George would use ‘Little Georgie’ as his WeChat username… She was amazed, but not in a good way. She clicked into the message and saw that he had sent her a single sentence: ‘Sister-in-law~’

Seeing the pet name, the corners of her lips involuntarily curved upward.

Little Georgie texted, ‘Good morning, Muzi! Are you there?’

She slowly tapped on the screen and replied, ‘What’s up?’

‘Do you have plans today? Do you want to meet up? I’ll tell you the story about Yuchi. Yuchi must have raised another complaint with my grandfather after he suddenly appeared at the secretary’s office the other day and interrupted our chat. I’ve been locked up because of that! It wasn’t easy for me to find the chance to slip out today.’

Han Muzi was speechless.

“I won’t beat around the bush. Muzi, hurry up and send me your house address. I’ll go over and pick you up.’

‘If you have something to say, you can tell me through WeChat. Why must we meet up?’ She had to admit that she was still wary of George. After all, the incident at the bar the other day was still fresh in her memory. Who knew what he would do after coming over?

George was silent for a bit, then directly video called her on WeChat. She hesitated, then answered the call. Soon, she saw his face on her phone. He had on a wounded expression as his face appeared on-screen; he wailed, “Muzi, have you not forgiven me yet? Are you still thinking about the incident from the other night? It wasn’t intentional! Besides, you promised to forgive me!”

“Yeah.” She nodded.

He seemed to have found hope and looked at her with pitiful eyes. “Then, can I meet up with you?”

She didn’t know why he was so adamant in coming over to find her, but seeing that he had no bad intentions, she asked, “Tell me what it’s about first.”

“It’s about Yuchi’s matters. Didn’t you ask about how Yuchi was brought back by the Yuchi Family the other day?”

Hearing that, she remembered what she had asked him the other day—it was important to her. She nodded her head. “That’s right. I wanted to know about that. You…” Pondering over it carefully, she decided that it was inappropriate for her to give him her address. Recalling that there was a café nearby, she relayed the address of the café to him and invited him to meet her there.

“Where’s that café?” He scratched his head. “I’ve never heard of that place. Is it near your place?”

“Yes.”

“Then, Muzi, you head there first. When you get there, send me the location. I’ll come right away.”

After responding, Han Muzi packed up her stuff and went downstairs to the café. At the café, she shared her location with George, and he replied that he would arrive soon. While waiting for him, she ordered a glass of juice.

Surprisingly, he arrived fairly quick. He strode over to her with large steps and sat down. Then, he broke out in a grin. “Oh, sister-in-law, have you been waiting for a long time?”

She felt slightly awkward, then softly said, “In the future, you should stop calling me by that pet name. If somebody else heard it, they might misunderstand.”

“Don’t worry, Muzi. I’ll only call you that when it’s just us. I’ll definitely control myself when there are other people around.”

“I’m just worried that you’ll get used to it. It’s better to change it now. Just call me by my name.”

“Oh.” He was dumbfounded for a moment, then he smacked his lips. “That won’t do.” If I called her directly by her name… would Yuchi let me get away with it if he heard it? “I can’t do that; I can’t call you by your name.”

She was at a loss for words.

“‘Sister-in-law’ seems about right anyway, since I have a feeling that you and Yuchi will be a couple in the future.”

“Fine, it’s just a nickname anyway; it’s not that important. However…” She hesitated slightly, then asked, “Why do you think that I’ll get together with him?”

Being questioned like that, he suddenly came around. He used to think that Grandfather Yuchi would force a fiancée on Yuchi Shen. After all, marriage in their families had always been done like that; they had no control over it themselves. “Because I believe that Yuchi Shen won’t be easily manipulated by others.”

“What do you mean?” She squinted. “Manipulated? Are you talking about… Old Master Yuchi?”

George coughed lightly. “Oh, right! I haven’t told you the story, right? Yuchi Shen was brought back by Grandfather Yuchi only recently. One day, while Grandfather Yuchi was out at sea, he suddenly brought back a person with him when he returned. This is what I heard from my grandfather, but I don’t know the details about how the story played out.”

Han Muzi nodded her head. It seemed like after Ye Moxuan fell out from the plane, he somehow managed to coincidentally come across the Yuchi Family and was brought back just like that. Although she didn’t know the exact details, she could hazard a rough guess at what had happened.

“Yuchi Shen has a weird personality—he avoids women like the plague; no matter how many women approach him, he ignores all of them. You’re the first woman I’ve seen that he actually looks in the eye. Besides, he even ran over to rescue you in the middle of the night! Why don’t you tell me why I think you’ll end up together? But, why don’t you be frank with me too? Do you fancy Yuchi?”
