After chatting with Yan, Han Muzi hung up the phone. Then, she logged onto the website of Yuchi Group and clicked on her profile to see an unread notification waiting for her. After opening it, Han Muzi found that it was the response to the resume she had submitted. The person had informed her to attend an interview the next day at 8am.
Upon seeing this notice, Han Muzi’s red lips slowly curled into a smile. It seemed that I’m one step closer to my purpose.

The next day, Han Muzi arrived at Yuchi Group on time. She chatted with the receptionist in fluent English, but she didn’t expect that the receptionist would reply to her in Mandarin, “You’re Chinese, right? Are you here for an interview?”
Han Muzi nodded in surprise.
“In that case, you have made the correct decision because the Yuchi Group is the best group out there and the employee benefits are very good.”

“Haha, that’s pretty good. By the way, what position are you applying for?”
“Secretary’s assistant.”

You’ll be having your interview there.”
“Thank you.” Han Muzi nodded then turned and walked toward the C elevator.
The receptionist behind her immediately whispered to the people next to her, “What a pity!”
Han Muzi looked around for a while before finding the elevator that the receptionist had mentioned. Most people had flocked around that area and she was a little surprised to see that the elevator was full of young and beautiful women. The most important thing was the extremely strong perfume on them.
When they gathered together in a group, the smell was overwhelming. Remembering the fact that she was pregnant, Han Muzi took a few steps away from them to avoid being engulfed by the smell of their fragrance. Then, she looked up at the number of floors on the elevator panel.
“Excuse me, are you Chinese?” Suddenly, someone beside her asked.
Han Muzi turned around to realize a young woman had followed her away from the group. Compared to the group of people, she looked a little out of place because she was dressed very plainly whereas the others were very well-dressed. She had a small face with delicate features. From her appearance, she looked quite young.
Seeing this young woman looking at herself, Han Muzi was sure that she was talking to her. She nodded and replied with a hum.
The girl was very happy when she heard this and extended her hand. “My name is Rory. What about you?”
Rory? I can’t believe that someone would call themselves in such a cute way. Though… this name does suit her very well—she is quite petite after all.
“Hi, my name is Muzi.”
“That’s great. You are also here to apply for the secretary’s assistant position, right? Me too. We can go up together later. ”
Initially, Han Muzi came here because of Ye Moxuan. Once Ye Moxuan had recovered his memory, she would return to their home country with him. So, she would not stay here for too long. After all, Ye Group is still waiting for Ye Moxuan to go back.
Looking at the young woman in front of her, Han Muzi said bluntly, “You are applying for the same position as me. You do know that we are considered competitors, right?”

When the elevator arrived, everyone squeezed in frantically. Because she was pregnant, instead of squeezing into the elevator with everyone, Han Muzi stood at the back and waited for the next round instead of competing with everyone.
Rory looked at her, slightly surprised. “You are so calm; you are one of the calmest secretary’s assistant applicants I have seen today. On top of that, you didn’t put on any heavy makeup, but you are already very beautiful. Plus, you have a good personality.”
Han Muzi was silent upon hearing that. She then glanced at her. Rory looked sincere and cute when she praised her.
Han Muzi became a little embarrassed and she subconsciously stretched out her hand to pull her hair back while saying awkwardly, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Let’s go in too.” Rory held her hand and walked forward. Han Muzi walked in with her. When she walked to the door, the smell was so heavy that Han Muzi frowned and held her breath subconsciously. As Rory walked in first, Han Muzi was the last to enter the elevator. But she didn’t expect the elevator to buzz as soon as she walked into the elevator.
“Ah, we have exceeded the weight limit,” someone muttered. Due to the fact that Han Muzi was the last to walk in, everyone looked at her upon hearing the complaint.
A silence then fell in the elevator. In that instant, everyone looked at her.
Han Muzi felt quite embarrassed and it was true that she was the last to enter. As soon as she was about to take a step out, she heard someone say from behind, “What’s the matter with you? The elevator is already overweight, yet you still don’t know how to get out?”
“Yeah, why is she still standing here? Don’t tell me that she thought that the elevator will send us up even though it’s overweight?”
Han Muzi frowned and pursed her red lips before walking out. She had only stood there for a moment. Without being able to react soon enough, this group of people had already said such words. It seemed that the people who were applying for this job today were quite hostile to each other.
After Han Muzi walked out, Rory seemed to be embarrassed too. She cleared her throat and walked out as well.
“I’m fine. You don’t have to be here to accompany me. I’ll just wait for the next round. ”
Rory didn’t go in again. She merely winked and said, “It’s okay; we are from the same country after all. I’ll just accompany you to wait for the next elevator.”
Han Muzi did not say anything since Rory insisted. After the elevator closed, Rory suddenly leaned to her and whispered, “I know there is an elevator nearby that connects to the interview department on the fifth floor too. ”
Han Muzi felt curious upon hearing that.
“Come with me.” Rory took her hand and walked forward and Han Muzi could only follow her.
The road ahead was much quieter. After arriving at the destination, Han Muzi saw that the elevator in front of her was different from the previous one and there was no one there.
“We can directly go to the fifth floor from here.” With that, Rory took her into the elevator.
