Han Muzi felt like she was about to fall to the floor. Unfortunately for her, she did not have the means to dig a hole in the floor. Otherwise, she would have undoubtedly gone right through.
She was afraid to even breathe out loud. Pressing her cap down as she sat there, she tried her best not to make her existence known.
Suddenly, the person next to her stood up out of nowhere. She did not know what happened but the person quickly sat back down and she felt at ease again.
Because she had her head down the whole time, she was unaware of what was happening. Upon mulling it over, she figured that Ye Moxuan would’ve walked past her by now. She slowly lifted her head to observe her surroundings. As soon as she did that, she was met by a pair of deep and cold, black eyes.
Their eyes locked, and the atmosphere went silent. Her pupils dilated. Then, she lowered her head back down gradually and stayed hidden there as though she had not seen anything.
Ye Moxuan, who sat next to her, chuckled as he watched this scene unfold. “You’re brave enough to board a plane, but not brave enough to make eye contact with me?”
She did not respond. His voice was so overbearing that it would make one quiver. She bit her bottom lip and lifted her head again slowly once more.
“I-I told you I wanted to come with you, but you didn’t let me. So… I decided to come on my own.”
He smirked. “You snuck onto the plane and even bought an economy class ticket?”
She remained silent.
The people around them started throwing glances at them. It seemed like they had recognized the faces of the two protagonists who were on the screens of every subway station and skyscraper in North City in recent days. Someone had even taken out a phone and secretly snapped a photo of the both of them.
When she saw that, her expression changed. She quickly pressed her head down and buried herself in his arms.
Her sudden action had caught him off guard. But he quickly noticed, from the corner of his eye, the camera that was pointed at them from beside her. He narrowed his eyes and glared at that person.
Since he had a strong presence, the deathly glare he gave the woman made her freak out and drop the phone in her hand. She bent down in a panicked state and searched for her phone.
He turned his head back to look at the little woman hiding in his arms and could not hold back from teasing her, “So you weren’t scared when you snuck out on your own, but you’re scared now?”
Without lifting her head, she whispered, “Is she still taking photos?”
“Why don’t you look up and see for yourself?”
She lifted her head cautiously to look in the direction of that woman and realized the woman was now busy looking for her phone. At that moment, she let out a breath of relief while her hand was over her chest.
Then, she looked straight over at his pale face. “Since I’m already here, you won’t throw me off the plane, right?”
He hesitated. “Thanks for reminding me. That’s a good suggestion.” As he said this, he held onto her delicate wrist. She jumped in fright and her eyes widened as she tried to pull her hand back.
“So now you’re scared? How were you not scared when you surprised me earlier?” He moved closer to her. His gaze was unbearable and the energy around him became stronger.
She bit her bottom lip without saying a word, then closed her eyes shut. “Fine, throw me off the plane then. Besides, you’ll be going down with me when you do that. If you don’t want me to go, then we’re both not going.”
She was adamant. If he threw her off the plane, then she was determined to latch onto him and not let him get back on it either. By then, none of them would be able to get on the plane.
She waited for a while. However, there was no response from him. She opened her eyes again and saw his black eyes full of helplessness. He was still holding onto her wrist but had loosened his grip.
Seeing her stubborn attitude, he could only let out a sigh. “Why are you suddenly acting like a child now? You’ve been making a lot of fuss recently.”
After being accused by him, she recalled her behavior in recent days. Seems like… he’s right. Not only had she been making a fuss, but she had also been too lazy to do anything. All she wanted to do was eat and sleep. She did not want to work either.
What is happening to me? Am I getting lazier because I have him by my side now to look after me? At the thought of that, she felt uneasy because she did not want to keep lazing around like that.
However, she had to deny it in front of him. She pulled her hand back and said through gritted teeth, “Who’s making a fuss? I was just worried about you so I wanted us to go together. But you kept refusing. It’s just one plane ride, yet you were dead set on not letting me on. Who’s the one making a fuss here?” After she finished speaking, she swung her head to look out the window to get him out of her sight.
“Okay, that’s enough now. Do you know how much I worry about you? You can go if you want to, but you’re not allowed to wander away on your own once we get there.”
Did he just agree? She looked at him carefully before nodding her head. “Okay!”
Alas, they were able to reach an agreement. She had not planned on wandering off on her own, but she just felt anxious about leaving him alone so she wanted to follow along. It seemed like she would only feel more relaxed as long as she could see him safe and sound everyday until their wedding ceremony was over.
The plane flew for a long time. Not long after, Han Muzi started to doze off. Her head kept swinging from side to side as she leaned back in the seat to sleep. Seeing her like that, Ye Moxuan cradled her head then leaned it against his shoulder.
When the plane arrived, it was already late in the night. Ye Moxuan woke her up and she leaned on him groggily as she walked out. Then, she got into a car and was taken to their accommodation. As she had fallen asleep during the car ride, he had to carry her up into the room.
The moment her head hit the soft pillow, she automatically reached out to grab the blanket and fell back asleep. Just like that, he refrained from waking her up and telling her to wash up. He felt a strange feeling as he looked at her. Lately, it seemed like she was addicted to sleeping. She had slept on the plane, in the car, and now when they were back in their accommodation.
However, he did not think any more of it after that. He just let her be after he assumed she had not slept enough the night before from worrying about him.

Han Muzi had another nightmare again. When she woke up, her heart was palpitating and her eyes twitched uncontrollably. She reached over beside her but only felt air. Then, she sat up and realized she was in an unfamiliar environment. She recalled back to what happened the previous night and remembered that he had brought her here.
Suddenly, her phone started to vibrate. She pulled it out and saw that it was a video call from Yan. She answered it despite looking like a mess.
“D*mmit, Muzi! Where did you run off to again? Why was Little Bean sent to my place so early in the morning?”
