Everyone noticed that there was something off about Ye Moxuan during the meeting. From the moment he stepped into the conference room, the cold expression on his face combined with his negative mood made the temperature in the room dip by a few degrees.
Those present for the meeting looked at each other in shock and did not know what went on. This meeting had already been held many times before, but no one had produced any satisfactory results. It had been previously postponed multiple times because he was interrupted by other matters.
Even though they wanted to tell Ye Moxuan that his behavior of allowing his personal matters to affect his work was not right, he was their boss. They preferred to have a couple more meetings than to infuriate their demon overlord and they feared that he might point the finger at them instead. They only kept their unhappiness to themselves as a result.
What made things worse in today’s meeting was Ye Moxuan’s foul mood. Seeing that he already arrived with a negative aura, this made everyone more anxious. How on earth is this meeting going to proceed?
After they exchanged glances with each other, someone broke the silence. “Young Master Ye, is the present that you asked being sent?”
When he heard the word ‘present’, he glared at the person who had the courage to ask such a question. That person was petrified to such a stage that he never spoke a single word after that.
“Let’s start the meeting,” Ye Moxuan said in an unfriendly tone after a while.
Everyone became silent and thought, Are we going to the meeting for real now?
Everyone was afraid to voice out their opinions in the beginning. After some time, they realized that Ye Moxuan merely listened to their discussions with a stoic face and took the discussion further.
As he heard their discussions, Ye Moxuan thought about Han Muzi’s distressed look and Little Bean’s adorable face.
“Young Master Ye? Young Master Ye?”
Ye Moxuan suddenly returned to his senses and saw that someone called for him, so he looked at that person.
“What do you think of this suggestion?”
Ye Moxuan froze for a while before pursing his lips. “Not bad.” Even though he had barely paid any attention to what was said.
Everyone became quiet and glanced at each other again. They all knew that Ye Moxuan did not hear a word of their discussion just now.
Xiao Su, who was beside them, could not stand this anymore, so he walked to Ye Moxuan and whispered the summary of the discussion in his ears.
Initially, Ye Moxuan’s expression was still normal, but after he heard Xiao Su’s recap, he frowned and snorted. “Which idiot suggested that idea? After working in the Ye Group for such a long time, are you not ashamed of yourself to have suggested this?”
Everyone was speechless upon hearing that. You just said that it was a good idea seconds ago. Are you sure it’s okay to contradict yourself like this?
Ye Moxuan made sure that his gaze penetrated the crowd with fear. “Do you think that your work has been too easy recently? Which is why you wanted to simply find an idea to pass it off?”
Xiao Su put his fists near his lips and cleared his throat lightly before speaking in Ye Moxuan’s ears.

When they heard that, everyone’s expression changed immediately and they looked at Ye Moxuan, fearing that he would burst in anger. However, he looked like he had heard nothing and just sat there without moving.
Everyone was befuddled upon seeing this.
After he remained quiet for a while, Xiao Su said, “Why don’t you guys head back first? When Young Master Ye has finished dealing with his matters, we will continue with this.”
Since Xiao Su had already spoken, everyone did not waste their time in the room anymore and left after taking their things.
When Ye Moxuan finally returned to his senses, he realized that there was no one in the room. He was stunned for a moment, frowning in dissatisfaction. “Where’s everyone?”
Xiao Su stood beside him with an exasperated expression. “I’ve asked everyone to leave first.”
He shot a sharp look at Xiao Su, which sent chills down his spine. Xiao Su straightened his back and replied, “Young Master Ye, I did not ask them to leave on purpose. It’s just that you weren’t focusing at all—you haven’t even heard a single word that they said. With due respect, if you are not the boss here, everyone would complain about you.”
Ye Moxuan pressed his lips into a thin line and said coldly, “Do you have a death wish?”
How intimidating… Xiao Su took a step back and felt a chill down his spine. He coughed gently before saying, “I don’t, but there’s something that I must tell you. Young Master Ye, you have been dealing with Young Lady, right? In the past, you had a clear line between work and private matters. However, recently, you have mixed your private matters with work. Ye Moxuan raised his head. “Are you criticizing me now?”

“Get out of here.” Without leaving any respect, Ye Moxuan asked Xiao Su to get lost.

Is this not the answer that he wants? Xiao Su immediately changed his answer. “Did one of them undergo plastic surgery?”
Ye Moxuan did not reply to him. Instead, he raised his head and looked at Xiao Su sharply. “Do you want to die?”
Xiao Su paused for a moment before asking, “Young Master Ye, why do you suddenly ask this question? In my opinion, apart from twins, it’s quite difficult to find another person who looks exactly like the other.”
Ye Moxuan had a sudden thought. “What if they are father and son?”
