Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 669

After all, Ye Linhan had seen Little Bean at the supermarket before. Considering that he was an intelligent man, he would have figured out the truth with ease. He had even hired a private investigator to do a background check on her, so there was no way he did not know about it.

“Oh?” Ye Moxuan raised his eyebrows with the smile softening his fierce face. Yet, the smile was not a bright one as it gave out a chilling aura.

The smile caused Han Muzi to suspect that something was wrong, so she panicked inside and grabbed hold of Ye Moxuan’s sleeve without thinking much. “The situation is not what you think it is. He didn’t find out because of me; it was him—”

“It doesn’t matter what the reason is. He still knew about it earlier than me. And you… actually kept on following me because you hoped that I, the real father, won’t know about it. This was how the situation went, am I right?”

“I…” His words prevented Han Muzi from rebutting him.

Ye Moxuan squinted his eyes while they remained sharp and the temperature around him dropped. “Is it true?”

She lowered her eyes. “It actually went that way at first, but it’s different now. I—”

“Enough.” He immediately cut off her words. He did not fly into a rage and his voice seemed calm, but this made her even more fearful.

“Are you now… disappointed in me? Are you trying to argue with me?”

Ye Moxuan did not answer her.

“Are you trying to break up with me?” Han Muzi asked again.

Then, Ye Moxuan lifted his eyes toward her as his deep eyes reflected her face. “I haven’t thought about that.”

Those words caused Han Muzi’s heart to sink even further while her lips turned pale. “What do you mean you haven’t thought about it?” Does that mean he has considered it before?

Han Muzi held the sleeve of his jacket tightly, which made the sleeve that she ironed all crumpled up again. “So what are you saying now? You said that you haven’t thought about it, which means you’ve just considered it, right? Why? Is it because he is your son? Is that why you’re upset?”

However, Ye Moxuan stood still without moving a muscle.

She looked at him, tightening her grip. “Say something. Have you ever considered that? Do you want to break up with me? Are you trying to split up with me?”

Looking at the beautiful face in front of him, his eyes rolled when he heard the words ‘split up’. Those pair of eyes were filled with worries and it felt like a needle was poking his heart. He never once considered to split up with her. He never gave it a thought even after he discovered that she had lied to him. This woman in front of him… was someone he could not reach out to and she only showed up in his dreams for the past five years. After such a hard time trying to get her, he would not split up with her. It was just that… he did not know what to do.

He lowered his head, slowly pushing away the pair of hands holding onto his sleeve.

At first, she was unwilling to let him do so and widened her eyes in resistance. She held on tightly to his sleeve.

He saw tears swimming in her eyes when he glimpsed at her eyes. He felt sorry for her, but his rage of being lied to overshadowed his sympathy and finally sighed. “Let go.”

“I don’t want to.” Han Muzi resisted the tears in her eyes. “If I let go, will you leave me again?” It was a question that she carefully asked.

Ye Moxuan looked at her with an ironic smile. “Are you actually afraid of losing me now?”

Han Muzi widened her eyes, but the tears had not rolled down her cheeks. Her eyes were naturally beautiful and now that it shone with tears, it looked like a magical piece of blue masterpiece being engulfed by mist. She shook her head. “Please don’t be angry. The situation isn’t what you think it is.”

Both of them had endured a treacherous journey to finally be together with each other. It was childish for them to split up just because of this. Throughout this period of time, it had always been Ye Moxuan who glued himself to her. On the surface, it seemed as if she had won and he had lost, but only Han Muzi herself was aware that there were no winners or losers in a relationship.

Although he had been the driving force, her heart was also closer to him each time. She knew this clearly because she never stopped loving Ye Moxuan all these years.

At the end, Ye Moxuan still pushed her hand away. Han Muzi felt a sudden emptiness in her hands as he backed off a couple of steps. “Let me think about it.” He gazed into her eyes and continued speaking, one word at a time, “I can’t think clearly now.”

Han Muzi twitched her lips. “After you have thought things through, are you going to split up with me?”

He frowned as he listened to her. “I didn’t say that.”

“But you are doing it right now. Little Bean is your child. Isn’t that good? I thought that… even if you’re angry at it, you will still feel a little happy about it, but I didn’t expect…” His rage was so huge that it encompassed everything else. Did I misjudge the situation?

“Let me think about it.”

He repeated the same words, which drained her energy all at once. She closed her eyes, leaning against the wall in defeat. “Fine. If you want to think about it, then I’ll let you think about it.”

Their surroundings quietened and after some time, she reopened her eyes to find that Ye Moxuan was gone.

Although she knew that this would happen, she was still disappointed at not seeing him in front of her. Her legs began to melt as she felt a bit unstable when she stood, so she leaned against the wall for support as she slowly sat down on the ground.

The icy cold floor sent shivers up her bottom, which made her unable to sit any longer. Maybe it was also her state of mind affecting her. She suddenly thought of something and rose to her full height before heading down the stairs.

It was empty downstairs and all that was left was the plate of fruits on the table. Han Muzi was stunned by what she saw. It was a while before she realized that her child was missing. Little Bean… Where’s Little Bean?

She did not give it much thought when she rushed upstairs to search for him, but to no avail. The sounds that she made caught Yan’s attention. “What is it?”

When she saw Yan, she immediately reached out to her. “Have you seen Little Bean? Is he there with you?”

“What do you mean?” Yan looked at her, confused. “Isn’t Little Bean downstairs? Why are you…” She widened her eyes mid-sentence and looked at Han Muzi in horror. “Could it be…” she trailed off, covering her mouth.

She slowly put down her hands and spoke a while later, “Muzi, Little Bean …”

Han Muzi stood there with a bitter smile. “He was taken away by his daddy.”

“What should we do now? Should we go and bring him back? Or, should I call your brother for help?” Yan immediately took out her phone and clicked into the contact list, but was stopped by Han Muzi from proceeding further.

“Don’t call him.” Ye Moxuan was already angry, so if she actually called Han Qing at this time, how would the former perceive her then?
