“After that…” His lips lifted slightly; Ye Moxuan looked like he was smiling, but the smile and the look in his eyes were very bitter. “She had a hard time all by herself. Noticing that she didn’t reply, Ye Moxuan took the initiative and ordered some dishes. Holding her waist while walking into the restaurant after that, they found a table and took their seats.
Han Muzi asked impatiently again, “What happened after they fell into the sea? Why did you go back to the Ye Family?”
“Do you really want to know?” Ye Moxuan threw her a glance and his lips lifted up slightly. “You’ll have to eat first. After we are done eating, I will tell you more about it.”
Han Muzi was speechless; after piquing her interest, he refused to continue in the end?
As she thought of that, Han Muzi glared at him wordlessly, and Ye Moxuan couldn’t refrain from laughing after seeing the expression on her face. “Do you really want to know more?”
Han Muzi looked at him. “Would you continue your story?”
His eyes dulled. “After he fell into the sea, Old Master Ye started sending people over and convinced me to come back to the Ye Family.”
“So, did you go back at that time?” Han Muzi asked again.
“No.” Ye Moxuan smiled sarcastically. “The condition for me to return to the Ye Family was that I was not allowed to bring my mother back. In other words, I had to abandon my mother and return to the Ye Family all by myself.”
Upon hearing that, Han Muzi widened her eyes in shock. “Old Master Ye meant that if you were to return to the Ye Family, you had to break ties with your mother; otherwise, you couldn’t go back to the Ye Family?”
Ye Moxuan smiled and nodded bitterly.

“I went back to the Ye Family to snatch all their power.” Pursing his lips, he slowly added with a frightening look on his face, “The marriage that year was forced upon me by them as well.”
Han Muzi was speechless. Right at that moment, a waiter came to serve them their dishes. “Madam, sir, enjoy your meal.”
“Let’s eat first.” Han Muzi picked up a fork and brought the food into her mouth. The taste of it was bland—even bitter.

Wordlessly, she tried to refrain herself from doing so, but she turned her head and glowered at him in the end. “Why are you acting as if nothing had happened? Aren’t you furious with all these incidents? You narrated all these stories as if they had nothing to do with you—you even have the mood to eat with me. “You lost your appetite because you care for me.” Unexpectedly, Ye Moxuan wasn’t angry; instead, he held her hand and kissed her lightly on her palm.
