“Remember to bring your lover with you too.” The words made him even happier. “You are nice to talk to today,” Ye Moxuan replied.
The person on the other side of the phone felt that Ye Moxuan was open to persuasion. But just when he wanted to bring up a few requests, Ye Moxuan immediately ended the call.
After he ended the call, Ye Moxuan adjusted his phone to find the perfect angle to take a few personal pictures of Han Muzi for his collection, but just when he took out his phone, he could see the people around him were also taking pictures of her.
Ye Moxuan frowned and the temperature around him dropped. Did I miscalculate? Did I just make her the focal point of the banquet by giving her the grandest dress? Ye Moxuan lost the mood to take pictures, so he put away his phone bitterly while glaring at the people around him.

The man beside him giggled and followed up. “Why wouldn’t he? If I had such a gorgeous sister, I would also keep her hidden. If I don’t, she will be eaten up alive by animals like you all.”
“Tsk, we are all the same. Look who’s talking?”
“I’ve heard that most of the guests invited are single men. Can you guys guess what is President Han’s intention?”
“Do we even need to guess? He is trying to dress his sister up and introduce her to everyone. However, I still think it’s weird for such a beautiful girl to not have a boyfriend. Does she even need her brother’s help?”
“Tsk, what do you know? His sister was kept hidden all this time because President Han must have valued her highly. Naturally, normal peasants won’t even get to look at her. Looks like most people are just here to accompany each other, including us.”
Someone was unconvinced of his statement and rebutted straight away, “What do you mean accompany each other? After being named by them, Ye Moxuan let out a grunt inside. Looks like you all know your place.
However, his face changed drastically the next second after another man rebutted, “I don’t think so. Look at how many times the Ye Group and the Han Group have been fighting each other in the business world for the past few years. One could easily see that they have a grudge against each other. We’re not just here to fill numbers; I think we may have a chance. According to my sources, Han Muzi is a pretty girl, but unfortunately, she is also a used product.”
Used product… Ye Moxuan squinted his eyes and gave a gloomy look to that man.
“Don’t you guys know? This woman was married before, but I’ve heard that—ah!” Before he could finish his words, his collar was suddenly held on to by someone. The people around him were stunned as they looked at the shocking scene.
“Who are you? What are you trying to do?”
Ye Moxuan grabbed the man by his collar with an expression as though he was looking at a dead man. “If you dare to, say what you’ve just said one more time.” The words that came out of his mouth were like voices from the underworld as it sent shivers down everyone’s heart.
“I… I…” That man kept on saying the same word since he was unable to utter another. He looked at the man in front of him, who was emanating a chilling aura, and felt a sense of familiarity, but… he just couldn’t put his finger on it.
A friend of the man could see that Ye Moxuan had an imposing manner and shouldn’t be messed with, so he hurriedly asked, “I’m sorry. Did my friend say anything that offended you?”
Ye Moxuan quirked the corners of his lips as his smile was filled with murderous intent. “If I ever hear you all discuss her again, don’t blame me when I wipe out all of your companies.”
His words changed everyone’s face. How can he be this arrogant? There aren’t many people in North City that can be this arrogant when talking to people from other corporations, unless…
One of the men had a gleam in his eyes as if he finally noticed something. He then quickly apologized, “Sir, I’m sorry. We will be more careful with our words, and we won’t say anything bad about Miss Han anymore.” After he finished, he took a look at Ye Moxuan’s hand on the man’s collar and pleaded, “Would you be so kind as to let him go, sir? My friend is used to being outspoken.”
Ye Moxuan glared at the talking man, then at the man in front of him. He could see that his face had changed as he couldn’t utter a word, so Ye Moxuan sneered and let him go. “F*ck off.”
“Yes, yes, yes.” A few men hurriedly packed up their stuff and exited the banquet quietly.
The man, who was held on by the collar just now, was still startled even after walking a long distance. “Oh my God. What’s wrong with that man? How dare he strangle me? Is he looking for trouble?”
“You’re the one looking for trouble! Don’t you know who that was?”
“Who?”
“If my guess is right, he is the person you guys mentioned just now—President Ye of North City.”
“President Ye of North City?” The man was shocked. “How can that be? That man was wearing a mask. I was curious earlier as to why he didn’t show his true face. Wearing a mask in a banquet—”
“Stop talking nonsense. Let’s go quickly. If you offended President Ye… there won’t be any girls for you to pick up, never mind the lady of Han Family.”
The name ‘President Ye’ was enough to scare the life out of them. Even though they weren’t convinced inside, what else could they do? Since they were no match for him, their only choice was to leave.
This little mishap didn’t cause a huge commotion since there were so many people present at the banquet, and the music was still going on. As for those nearby who saw it, after seeing them leave and the atmosphere returning to how it was, they didn’t mention anything anymore.
However, some girls would occasionally turn their heads to look at Ye Moxuan quietly; their eyes were filled with affection.
On the stage, Han Muzi had finished introducing herself to everybody. Then, Han Qing followed it up with a few courteous words, undoubtedly asking everyone to take note of Han Muzi.
Han Muzi started to feel tired—mainly due to the heavy dress on her. Therefore, when Han Qing was done introducing her, she went over to his ear and whispered, “Qing, since we are done with the introductions, can I go to the back to change out of this dress?”
