Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 513

They then went upstairs. As Han Muzi was carrying the groceries, she didn’t have another pair of hands to open the door. Since Little Bean’s fingerprint was recorded on the lock of the door, he opened the door and the two of them walked in together.

After they entered, Little Bean was considerate enough to change her shoes for her. “Quickly put the things down and rest,” he said.

Han Muzi went to the refrigerator in her house shoes and put the groceries in accordingly. She washed her hands then quickly got changed into her home clothes in the bathroom. She then collapsed onto the sofa.

Getting groceries from the supermarket was tiring. Although the supermarket was close to her house, it was still difficult for a girl to carry so many things by herself.

“Does your arms hurt, Mommy? Let me massage them for you.” Little Bean came to her very thoughtfully and massaged her arms with his tiny hands as he asked, “Are you feeling better?”

Han Muzi was touched as she looked at Little Bean. Who said that only daughters are caring and thoughtful? Boys are warm as well. It all depends on their character.

Little Bean was no different from a caring daughter… Touched, Han Muzi nodded her head. “Of course, I’m feeling much better. Thank you, my Little Bean.”

Being praised, Little Bean laughed happily. He then stood up to massage Han Muzi’s shoulder. He wasn’t using too much or too little strength—it was just the right amount. It was indeed comfortable… And so, Han Muzi slowly closed her eyes contentedly.

In the end, Han Muzi was so comfortable that she was about to fall asleep and Little Bean didn’t disturb her. She then gradually drifted off to sleep.

After her breathing became uniformed, Little Bean quietly got off the sofa, took Han Muzi’s phone, and walked to the balcony to call Han Qing.

Han Muzi felt extremely tired and since Little Bean’s hands were very soft, it was so comfortable that she fell asleep. She had no idea how long she slept, but she vaguely smelled the aroma of food. She had no idea what was going on. How could there be the smell of food in my dream? Could it be…

Han Muzi suddenly thought of something and jumped up. When she sat up, the blanket that was covering her fell off. Wasn’t I going to cook? How did I fall asleep?

“You’re awake?” Just as she was thinking, a deep, male voice came from the front.

Han Muzi looked up in the direction of the voice, only to find Han Qing sitting on the sofa across. He placed his notebook on the table and was working on his documents while bent over.

“Qing?” Han Muzi didn’t expect to see Han Qing here and was dumbfounded. What time is it? Why is Han Qing here? How long did I sleep?

Looking at her dumbfounded look and the dark circles under her eyes, Han Qing felt sorry and angry, at the same time. “I told you not to go but you wouldn’t listen. What’s the point of making yourself so tired?” he scolded.

Han Muzi felt a little embarrassed and her mouth twitched, but she didn’t reply and asked instead, “What time is it? Why are you here?”

“Why?” Han Qing looked at her calmly and asked, “Can’t I come? Besides… weren’t you the one who asked Little Bean to call me to come over? To cook and apologize?”

Han Muzi was speechless. She bit her lower lip awkwardly and said, “Qing, I…”

“Yet you were sleeping when I came over?”

Han Qing’s words made Han Muzi’s ears turn red. She felt embarrassed and reached out to grab her hair. “I-I have no idea how I fell asleep. What time is it? I’ll go cook.” With that, Han Muzi got up to cook. But she soon remembered the aroma of food in her sleep. Now, that scent was all around and felt tangible. Could it be that Yan is cooking?

“No need. Yan is already cooking. You can continue sleeping.”

Han Muzi rubbed her chin awkwardly and said nothing. She then crept into the kitchen. As expected, she saw Yan getting busy in the kitchen with Little Bean helping at the side.

Little Bean smiled brightly when he saw her. “Mommy, you’re awake!”

Han Muzi resisted her temptation to scold him and just nodded. She then looked at Yan and asked, “When did you come back? Why didn’t you wake me up?”

Looking at her embarrassed expression, Yan couldn’t help but laugh. “Why? Isn’t it nice to let you sleep instead of waking you up to get busy?”

“It’s embarrassing.” Han Muzi glared at her when she saw her laugh. “Besides, I planned to cook personally and yet… I fell asleep in the living room.”

I have no idea how long Han Qing had been sitting opposite me. He must’ve seen me sleep. As she thought about this, Han Muzi couldn’t help but cover her face; she looked to be in pain. “You traitor.”

“Haha, you can’t blame me. When I came in, your brother was already here. You know about the foolish things I’ve done. Where would I find the courage to talk to him? I feel even more embarrassed, okay? Did you expect me to wake you after he explicitly told me not to? If I did, I would lose face in front of my crush.”

“Hmph. You’re only concerned about your reputation.”

“Well, you’re the same. You don’t think of me at all.”

The two of them were busy complaining in the kitchen and completely forgot Little Bean who was standing at the side.

Little Bean was a little upset to be ignored, but he was still happy when he thought about it.

“By the way, Aunt Yan cooked the fish. Should we take it down to the stray cat together?”

As he mentioned this, Han Muzi remembered that she was planning to bring the fish down to the stray cat, so she nodded. “Okay. Let’s take the fish down then.”

“Okay!” Little Bean nodded fervently.

Yan brought over a specific plate and there were two cooked fishes on top. “I’ve picked out the bones. You are so kind; why don’t you bring back the litter if you like them so much? It’s a big place anyway, and it’s just the three of us. A few animals would be nice.”

Han Muzi thought about it and concurred. “If we want to keep them, we will have to take them to the vet for a checkup. Little Bean, do you want to keep them?”

“Sure.” Little Bean blinked.

When they took the fish downstairs, Han Muzi suddenly thought of the man who was waiting for her in the hospital.

The reply she gave to him earlier was that she would bring him food if she had the time. It’s so late now. Has he eaten yet? After some thought, Han Muzi figured he probably had. After all, he’s the president of Ye Group and many people are fighting to please him. Why would he have to starve himself?
