Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 511

She turned a corner and didn’t see Little Bean, but she wasn’t worried. The supermarket was massive and they were on the third floor, so she wasn’t worried about it at all and thought Little Bean was just messing around.

Therefore, she just pushed the shopping cart and spoke, “Little Bean, it’s not that I don’t want to call your uncle. It’s just he was so fierce the other day and I’m a little scared. I’m so kind to you and even brought you to the supermarket. Will you just make the call for me?”

“Besides, don’t you think that since you are younger, it’s more likely for him to agree if you made the call? What if I called and he’s still mad at me and refuses to come?”

“Think about it. These are losses, right? Please just help me and call your uncle?”

Han Muzi spoke a lot, yet Little Bean gave no response.

Han Muzi frowned a little. “Little Bean? Why are you not speaking? Do you not agree with what I said? Fine, I know I’m wrong. Come out now and I’ll call your uncle.”

But she still didn’t get any response. Han Muzi felt a little strange and started pushing the shopping cart around to look for Little Bean. She started getting anxious when she couldn’t find Little Bean after a while. “Little Bean, stop messing around and come out.”

“I will get mad if you don’t come out…”

“I’m getting angry!”

Still, there was no response.

Han Muzi’s breathing started getting rapid and her face turned pale. She subconsciously tightened the grip on the shopping cart. Soon, she abandoned the shopping cart and frantically traipsed around in her high heels, looking for Little Bean.

“Little Bean, come out!” she called his name as she walked.

But Little Bean still didn’t respond to her and it made Han Muzi even more worried.

Could it be… Her steps paused and she thought of Lin Qingqing, whom she just met in the detention center today. Her eyes were filled with hatred although she sincerely repented. But… she’s capable of doing something like that. Was I wrong for trusting her?

Little Bean had always been considerate and obedient. He would never do something as far fetched as leaving her. What is going on? Han Muzi was so anxious that her eyes were red.

But she halted at the next corner, for she saw a small, familiar figure before her.

Han Muzi froze for a few seconds, then ran over and hugged that small figure. “Little Bean, you scared me… It was all my fault. Please don’t do that again.”

When Little Bean was hugged, he came back to his senses and blinked. However, he didn’t respond.

“Do you hear me? Don’t ever do this again. Please promise me.” Realizing that he wasn’t speaking, Han Muzi pressed on his shoulder, turned him over, and requested.

Little Bean blinked at her and finally reached out to hug her. “Mommy, I’m fine.”

Looking at him, Han Muzi felt relieved, as if she had found her long-lost treasure. She reached out and hugged him tightly once again. “Don’t scare me like this again. My heart can’t take it.”

“Mommy…”

“Qi?” Just as Han Muzi was holding Little Bean and talking to him, she heard someone calling her by her old name. Her body froze. This voice…

Han Muzi looked up and saw a familiar figure. It felt as if a hammer had hit her heart and her world was collapsing. The color on her lips faded instantly as she felt like she fell into an ice cave. How could this be… How could I run into him here?

“Mommy?” Perhaps sensing something was wrong, Little Bean called her.

His soft voice pulled Han Muzi back. She realized what happened when she got back to her senses.

Han Muzi forced herself to calm down and quickly came up with a plan. She then got up slowly. In the end, she went with the stupidest thing she could’ve done; she looked at the person and gave him an unfamiliar smile. “Sir, I think you’ve made a mistake.” With that, she grabbed Little Bean’s hand and walked in the opposite direction.

Although Little Bean didn’t know what was going on, he could feel the force from Han Muzi’s hands. It was so strong that it was a little painful. He looked up at Han Muzi and didn’t dare to speak when he realized that her face and lips were pale.

On the other hand, Ye Linhan stood there with his hand still holding a bottle of wine he took from the shelf. He stared in surprise at the tall, thin woman leaving with a little boy.

It was the face in his memory. Although she got prettier, her face and that pair of eyes were still the same. It’s her. I can’t be wrong with that look. But… she said I made a mistake. Why?

After hesitating for a few seconds, Ye Linhan put the bottle back and went after them.

After a turn, Han Muzi held Little Bean’s hands and walked to the shopping cart. Little Bean understood the situation and didn’t speak. He just followed her and looked up at her face from time to time.

But Han Muzi’s mind was muddled then. I ran into Ye Linhan here. He saw Little Bean, didn’t he? What is he thinking now? Will he come find me after this? She felt messed up inside. All she wanted to do was to get out of there. But things never went according to her plans. After a while, she heard footsteps from the back and someone soon grabbed her wrist. “Qi? It’s you, right?”

Han Muzi felt as if her blood froze. She stopped, but she didn’t look back. “Sir, I told you, you’ve got the wrong person.” Her voice turned cold as if it was going to freeze.

Ye Linhan frowned and looked at her with a complicated gaze.

“Sir, please show some respect. Let go of me.”

Ye Linhan heard her and slowly released her, but he didn’t leave and just stared at her face. “We haven’t met for five years and you won’t even say hi to me? You left without saying goodbye. Didn’t you think that someone would have been worried about you?”

Ye Linhan’s words made her suffocate. She slowly turned around to look at him. She had no love or hatred for Ye Linhan. She rarely thought of him for the past few years although Han Xueyou told her that Ye Linhan was the stranger on that night.

After all, she has been subconsciously resisting that thought all this time.
