Shen Qi, who was standing quietly by Ye Moxuan, suddenly protested loudly.
Her sudden action made everyone jump.
None of them had expected Shen Qi, who looked pitiful and never talked back even when she was bullied, to change her attitude and protect Ye Moxuan.

Are you really making this crippled man pay for something that you can’t afford?” Shi Qinbao sighed and acted like she was troubled. “To be honest, since you took good care of Lin Jiang all these years, I would honestly get him to help you out if only you kneel and beg me for help.”
Shen Qi shook with anger.
“Don’t be so angry. It’s just 300,000 anyway. As long as I ask for it, Lin Jiang would happily give it to me. After all, he always pampered me all these years, not you.”
Although the mistress had become his wife now, Shen Qi was still ticked off when she bragged in front of her, thereupon she reached out to give her a slap.
“Argh!” Before Shen Qi’s hand could even touch her face, Shi Qinbao yelled and fell back, thereafter she exclaimed, “I can’t believe you hit me when I just wanted to help you! Why do people like this even exist? Darling!”
Lin Jiang immediately went forward to steady her while she held onto his arm and cried angrily, “That ungrateful b*tch hit me, darling! Please teach her a lesson!”

Lin Jiang slowly raised his hand, thereupon Shen Qi bit her lip, tears brimming in her eyes. “What have I done wrong? This is how you treat me after those two years?”
Hesitation shone past Lin Jiang’s eyes when he saw her tears. However, with his woman behind him urging him on, his hand swung toward her face.
Shen Qi was stunned. She stared at his hand looming over her face in disbelief before she closed her eyes in despair.
Tears slowly slid down her cheeks.
Shen Qi thought that her face would be swollen after Lin Jiang’s slap. However, the pain never came after she closed her eyes.
“Have you asked me, Ye Moxuan, for my permission before hitting my woman?!”
Shen Qi’s eyes shot open!
She didn’t know when but Ye Moxuan had already reached her side and blocked Lin Jiang’s wrist.
Shen Qi never actually knew his height as he was always sitting in his wheelchair. However, when he raised his hand to stop Lin Jiang, Shen Qi finally realized that he was actually really tall. Although he was in a wheelchair, his presence was stronger than ever even when he was next to Lin Jiang.
In fact, his presence was much greater than Lin Jiang’s.
“Ye Moxuan?! Do my ears deceive me?”

Lin Jiang took a few steps back to steady himself as Shi Qinbao went to support him. “Are you okay, darling? Are you hurt?”
