Fine, come up later yourself.” With that, Song An hung up and looked over at Shen Qi. “See, isn’t it obvious he cares about you? So, if you like Moxuan, never ever give up on him, okay?”

Shen Qi saw Song An as a really kind elder. She got up, thanked her, and went to open the door with the suit in her hands.
She took a deep breath and opened the door. As expected, it was Ye Moxuan at the door, and he was looking at her calmly while Xiao Su was standing behind him.
Shen Qi met Ye Moxuan’s cold gaze and realized that he was looking at her. She then looked down and found herself holding his suit. As if she remembered something, she quickly returned the suit to him. “Here.”
Ye Moxuan’s thin lips pressed together as his eyes fell back onto her face. His voice was cold as he said, “Put it on. It’s cold at night.”
Shen Qi thought about it before putting the suit back into Ye Moxuan’s arms in the end. “Let’s go back first. It’s getting late.” With that, she started to walk forward, but before she could walk far, Ye Moxuan grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
“Where are you running off to? Didn’t I tell you to put it on?” Frowning in disapproval, he raised his arms and pulled her into his arms, thereafter he put the suit on her. They were so close that he could see the wound on her neck, and his eyes darkened as he pulled the suit tighter. Accidentally touching her skin, he asked, “Does it still hurt?”
His fingers brushed across her skin gently like a feather, and Shen Qi couldn’t help but shudder a little. “N-No, it’s much better now,” her voice was quavering as she spoke.
Noticing that her voice was shaking, Ye Moxuan frowned. “Why is your voice shaking?”
Shen Qi avoided his eyes and coughed lightly. “Probably because of the cold? Let’s go.”
Ye Moxuan could see that she was avoiding him, but he couldn’t figure out the reason why. As such, he pouted and replied, “Okay.”
Shen Qi then got up and took the initiative to push him to the elevator. Xiao Su closed the door for Song An, and they all left the latter’s apartment.
Shen Qi found herself a seat after they got into the car. It was a seat where Ye Moxuan couldn’t see her. The car drove steadily on the road, and Shen Qi heard Ye Moxuan’s husky voice asking her a question a few minutes later, “Aren’t you going to ask where I’ve been?”
Hearing that, Shen Qi came to her senses and realized that it was extremely quiet in the car. She then recalled the question Ye Moxuan had asked and answered naturally, “Weren’t you dealing with Shi Qinbao’s incident?”
Startled, Ye Moxuan looked at her with his eyes squinted. “You…”
“Didn’t you go?” Shen Qi looked at Ye Moxuan curiously.
Her eyes were naturally cold, and when he met her gaze, Ye Moxuan had mixed feelings as he thought of the person he had gone to meet. “What if I say I didn’t?”

Shen Qi couldn’t do anything as he went quiet all of a sudden; she couldn’t figure out what else Ye Moxuan could’ve been doing other than that.
“I’m busy too, and I’m not just busy with your matters.”
“I get it.” She looked down, but she wasn’t upset at all because she saw the earrings and remembered what Song An had said to her. Those words made her excited and happy. Hence, she just acted as if she didn’t hear Ye Moxuan’s words.
Hmph, what a meanie. Why did you buy me earrings then? At the thought of that, Shen Qi’s pink lips couldn’t help but curve upward as her eyes twinkled a little as well.
Ye Moxuan could see that she lowered her head, but her hair covered her face, so he couldn’t see her face. For some reason, he felt a little annoyed.
Suddenly, Shen Qi looked up. “Oh, right! I keep forgetting to ask you this—how is Shi Qinbao? Is she and her child safe?”
