Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1506

Han Muzi was firm when she had the conversation with Little Bean just now.

Not long after returning to her room, she felt remorseful, wondering if her words were too much for Little Bean to bear. After all, Little Bean was still a child, no matter how mature he might look.

Han Muzi became preoccupied as she worried that Little Bean would overthink.

The more she thought about it, the messier her thoughts became. Ye Moxuan had just come out of the shower, and went and lay beside her. He then hugged Han Muzi from behind, burying his face into her neck.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

His voice was low. As he spoke, his breath landed on Han Muzi’s neck, leaving her with a warm and tingling sensation, as he playfully touched her and lifted her shirt.

It wasn’t long before Han Muzi pushed him away.

“Stop it. I’m not in the mood right now.”

Ye Moxuan was a little dazed by her actions. He wanted to cling to her again, but could sense that Han Muzi really wasn’t in the mood. Therefore, he calmly lay down beside her, and instead of making a move, he asked her nervously, “What’s wrong?”

Hearing his question, Han Muzi turned to give him a look.

Seeing his face, she suddenly seethed with anger and asked hotly. “Little Bean is your son, is he not?”

Ye Moxuan froze for a beat, then nodded his head. “Of course.”

“Then why do you always go against him? He is just a child. Little Bean has been with me ever since he was young. We depended on each other, even before you appeared. Now that you’re here, you keep wanting me all to yourself. What would he think?”

Ye Moxuan never expected her to get angry because of this. For a moment, he was at a loss for words, and could only look at her mutely.

“Just because I’m your woman, it doesn’t mean that you can push everything else away.”

“What’s the matter?” Ye Moxuan dare not answer her question, and just skirted around it.

“You even have to ask?” Han Muzi thought of the look on Little Bean’s face, and felt that she had wronged him. How cruel she had been, saying those harsh words to a child.

Even though those words were the truth, it was still too harsh for a child to bear.

She truly felt regretful; she wasn’t a good mom after all.

“The love you had for Little Bean was already little to begin with. You never spent time with him since he was young. When you appeared, not only did you not shower him with love, you even wanted to deprive him of his mother.”

Ye Moxuan had never thought about it. Now that Han Muzi had brought it up, it helped jog his memory. Indeed, he was absent for many years of their lives, and they did not go through much together as a family. Now when faced with his own son, he had forgotten how to make it up to him.

“We will spend our whole lives together, but what about Little Bean? He had been deprived of paternal love for so many years, so are you going to deprive him of maternal love too? Please don’t treat him this way. I know it is realistic, but he is still a child after all. Let’s protect him together until he’s all grown up, okay? Same goes for Little Sprout too. Once they’ve reached adulthood, we won’t interfere in their lives anymore.”

Han Muzi teared up. At the sight of her tears, Ye Moxuan felt distressed and quickly pulled her into his arms.

“Alright, alright. I’ll listen to you and do whatever you say. From now on, I’ll spend all my time with the three of you.”

After their discussion, the couple decided to place both their children as the top priority. After all, they were their parents, and they had to be responsible for them.

Children did not have a choice. If a couple wanted to bring a child into the world, they must do their utmost to become great parents for the children.

Ye Moxuan had also decided that he didn’t want a third child after having Little Bean and Little Sprout. After Ye Moxuan and Han Muzi had raised them properly, they would no longer interfere in their children’s lives anymore.

By then, he would just stick to his wife every single day.

The next day, Han Muzi went to wake Little Bean up. However, she was greeted with an empty bedroom and he was nowhere to be found. It was only later that she got to know from her maid that Little Bean had already left for school.

This early? Han Muzi glanced at the time. He left for school an hour earlier compared to usual.

Could it be her words that made Little Bean upset?

At that thought, Han Muzi turned to look at Ye Moxuan worriedly.

Ye Moxuan knew what she was thinking, so he pursed his lips and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle this.”

“Okay then. But please don’t be angry at Little Bean.”

“Don’t worry.”

After Ye Moxuan left, Han Muzi was still anxious. However, she could not follow along because Little Sprout was still sleeping, and therefore, she could only return to her room and look after Little Sprout.

On the other hand, Little Bean had left early for school.

Han Muzi had thought that he was angry, but in reality, he wasn’t. Little Bean understood where she was coming from.

Mommy and daddy are the ones who would spend their entire lives together. While Little Sprout and I are important to them, their relationship should still come first.

Before this, Little Bean had always been competing with his dad for his mom’s attention, which was really unnecessary. He was enlightened after last night’s conversation.

He had been wrong this whole time. Why would he want to compete with his dad for mom’s attention?

He was their child after all, so he could be loved by the both of them. His initial thoughts of his dad wanting to snatch his mom away from him was wrong. Now that he had figured it out, he could finally be loved by both his parents.

So why should he go against his dad again?

As for his actions this morning, Little Bean did it on purpose.

He knew that his mom would be worried over last night’s conversation, and that Little Sprout had a fixed sleeping schedule. On the other hand, his dad would be reluctant to let his mom go out so early, hence the only person that would come after him was none other than his dad.

And the person that came to find him today would surely act differently from the dad he knew yesterday.

Hence, Little Bean had to fake a scene.

He grinned as he thought of this.

Daddy wouldn’t have thought that one day he would fall into the hands of his very own son, right?

Before Ye Moxuan arrived, Little Bean had already come up with a plan on how to cause trouble for his dad.

He did not enter his school. Instead, he squatted at the entrance, pretending to read a little book with his head lowered, while in reality, he was counting down the minutes until his dad arrived.

He didn’t squat for long. After calculating, he only had to squat for a few minutes before his dad arrived.

Sure enough, a pair of leather shoes appeared before him three minutes later.

He did show up.

Little Bean’s eyes flashed cunningly, but he did not look up.

The man’s voice came from overhead.

“You’re up early. Why are you squatting here and not in school yet?”

Little Bean lifted his head slowly. Instead of his usual expression, he put on a pitiful look.

Seeing that, Ye Moxuan’s chest tightened.

Even though Little Bean had previously gone against him, he was his flesh and blood after all. Looking at his expression now, Ye Moxuan felt bad inside.
