Han Qing was born as a handsome person and his face had a sharp sense of coldness and calmness. He looked serious when he wasn’t smiling yet he never seemed unreliable. One look at his face revealed that he was restraining his urges and his eyes now seemed like they wanted to devour her in one piece.
As Yan stared at Han Qing’s current expression, she unconsciously gulped. T-This is too attractive! Sadly, she knew that he had to leave soon, so she couldn’t delay him anymore. “Y-You haven’t drank the… chicken soup.” When she spoke, her voice was still a bit hoarse.
Han Qing gently hit her head. “Why are you still thinking of the chicken soup at this time?”
“O-Of course I am. I made it just for you, but… I forgot to bring the bowl. Can you wait here for a while?”
“There’s no need for that.” He shook his head. “Why do I need a bowl? I can just drink it straight from the thermos.”
Upon listening to him, Yan couldn’t help but widen her eyes while the image of Han Qing using the thermos to drink the soup rose in her mind. He was always an elegant, gentle and calm man in her eyes. If he drinks it straight from the thermos, how wild would that look like? Just thinking about it left her unable to accept him being treated this way. Therefore, she immediately shook her head. “No. You can’t drink straight from the thermos!”
“Why is that? You can’t accept the way I drink from the thermos?”
Yan nodded seriously with a stern face. “Yes. You’re perfect, so you can’t—”
However, before she could finish her words, he held the thermos and started to drink the soup right in front of her. Yan was instantly rendered speechless. Before she had the time to stop him, he already went ahead with what he wanted to do. Yan then widened her eyes in disbelief as she stared at Han Qing in front of her. Even though it looks barbaric, it’s still so gorgeous and eye-catching when he does it. Ugh… Sure enough, anything looks good on beautiful people.
After Han Qing had a sip of the soup, he placed the thermos aside. “Don’t imagine me to be extremely perfect. I will be my most natural self in front of you, alright?”
Yan nodded with her flushed face. “Alright… Are you going out later?”
“Yes. I’ll be a little busy today, so you can head home first.”
“Okay.” Yan quietly nodded her head. Su Jiu later came to urge Han Qing that it was time to go. After he was gone, she peeked inside the thermos flask and noticed that he had finished the chicken soup. She unconsciously quirked up the corners of her lips to reveal a smile while feeling happy and holding the thermos in her arms. After sitting alone in the office for a while, she packed up her things and left.
When she left, she still rode in his personal elevator. She actually never expected to use this elevator to come to his office, but the other one was too crowded and everyone would always focus their attention toward her whenever they saw her. She was easily embarrassed whenever people stared at her, so she took his elevator down in the end. As she came out of the elevator, she didn’t notice that someone was watching her.
Xu Yanwan stood behind the wall as she stared at Yan’s disappearing back before spotting the thermos the latter carried in her hand. This was the first time that Xu Yanwan saw Han Qing’s girlfriend. By the looks of the side of her face and her back, she seems to be loving and adorable. Her outfit also looks lively and casual, which makes her look like an innocent young woman. Would such an innocent young woman approach Han Qing just because of his power and position?
Xu Yanwan wasn’t sure, but she clearly understood Jiang Wenwen’s words, which had truly hit her heart. I-If… this girl really got together with Han Qing for his power and position, then… what should I do?
“What are you looking at?” Suddenly, a voice came from behind, catching Xu Yanwan by surprise. She immediately turned her head around to meet a pair of curious eyes.
The receptionist had gone to get some water and when she returned, she noticed a figure standing beside the wall looking at something. As she looked toward the direction that the person was staring at, she realized that it was Yan’s figure. Then, she couldn’t help but ask that person.
However, when Xu Yanwan turned her head and both of their eyes met, the receptionist was startled. “A-Aren’t you that person who a few days ago…” The receptionist was confused as she glanced at Xu Yanwan. “Why are you here?”
Not only had she seen Xu Yanwan before, she had heard the nonsense that the latter said before. Therefore, Xu Yanwan roughly guessed the receptionist’s thoughts. It wasn’t long before she calmed herself down and smiled softly at the receptionist. “Hello. I’m now an official staff member of this company. We are colleagues from now on.” With that, Xu Yanwan stretched both her tender, fair hands toward the receptionist.
The receptionist stared blankly at Xu Yanwan’s hands before looking at her office suit. Xu Yanwan wasn’t as embarrassing as when the receptionist first saw her. Instead, Xu Yanwan looked more like a refined woman with a strong aura around her. When the receptionist finally reacted, her hands unconsciously connected themselves with Xu Yanwan’s hands.
Xu Yanwan retracted her hands after a touch. However, the receptionist didn’t give up as she continued to ask, “Did you previously put on a facade just to enter the Han Group? What is your purpose?”
Xu Yanwan stopped for a moment as she had probably anticipated questions like this before, so she answered the receptionist faintly, “You’re thinking too much. I didn’t put on a facade before. At that time, I was really in a dire state and I came here to see an old friend. As for my purpose, I don’t have any purpose whatsoever. I just happened to pass this company’s interview when I sent my resumes in the hopes that I’ll be employed.”

However, seeing how fast Xu Yanwan entered the company, it seemed as though she wasn’t an amateur character. Then, the receptionist asked again, “I’ll just assume that you came in by accident. What were you looking at just now? If my guess is correct, you are looking at our President Han’s girlfriend, right? What are you thinking of?”
By the sound of the receptionist’s tone, it seemed as though she questioned Xu Yanwan like the latter had planned an evil scheme. Xu Yanwan had always been arrogant, but she now fell from grace. Back then, she would never be questioned like this when she was the Young Lady of the Xu Family.
The receptionist obviously questioned whether Xu Yanwan thought of doing something immoral. However, Xu Yanwan reacted quickly while she adopted a different expression. “I’m not thinking of anything. Is it illegal for me to glance at someone while standing here? Also, you said that she is President Han’s girlfriend, right? Does our President Han have a girlfriend now?”
The receptionist widened her eyes. “Why are you looking at her if you don’t know?”
