“Mommy is my favorite person.”
His sentence left Han Muzi slightly dumbfounded. Shortly after, Little Bean leaned in and placed a kiss on her cheek then backed away again. “So, I will listen to anything you say.”
Those were heartwarming words, yet she felt a lump rise in her throat and tears well up in her eyes. Not wanting Little Bean to notice, she pulled him into her embrace. “You’re such a good boy, Little Bean. You’re my favorite person too.”
“No. No!” He suddenly shook his head violently. “I can’t be your favorite person. Daddy will be angry.”
She looked at him astonished. “What?”
“The last time you said you loved me the most, bad Daddy held a grudge and didn’t let me in the room.”
Her face started to heat up. The last time Ye Moxuan locked Little Bean out of the room, he pressed Han Muzi up against the door and did all sorts of things to her. I hope there isn’t a second time for something like that. She sighed softly. “Fine. Little Bean, you can’t hold a grudge either. Your daddy was just pulling a prank on you. You are our baby, after all. Your daddy loves you a lot too.”
Hmph! Daddy doesn’t love me. He only loves Mommy. But, I guess that’s good enough.
“Should we agree on this then? I’m asking you for your opinion, Little Bean. I’m not just informing you. You can give me suggestions if you’re not happy with this arrangement and I’ll think of something else that will work for everyone. Okay?”
Little Bean was indeed thoughtful and obedient. She did not want him to suffer on his own. However, Little Bean shook his head. “It’s fine, Mommy. I think your arrangement is really good.”
“Really? Then, you—”
“Then Great-Grandfather and I will wait here for you and Daddy to come and pick us up.”
Before she was able to say anything else, Little Bean already set everything in place. Looking at his innocent and naïve face in front of her, she did not say any more. Then, she sighed inwardly and pulled him into a tight hug.

After everything was decided, they all pondered on their thoughts. In a blink of an eye, it was the day they were set to depart. George and Rory arrived to send them off. However, Yuchi Jin did not show up and only Yu Bo came.
Little Bean stood next to Han Muzi and kept looking behind Yu Bo. When he did not see the person he wanted to see, he asked, “Uncle Yu. Is my great-grandfather not here?”
Yu Bo had his usual amiable smile on his face and a small box in his hand. “Little Young Master. Your great-grandfather is busy at work so he can’t make it. But this is a small gift he had me prepare for you.”
Little Bean stared at the small box curiously. “What is it?”
With an ambiguous look on his face, Yu Bo handed the small box over. Little Bean immediately reached out to receive it and hugged the box to his chest. “Your great-grandfather wants you to open it after you get back.”
Little Bean blinked and stared intently at the small box in his arms. I’ll have to wait a long time if I can only open it after I get back.
On the other side, George pulled a long face and looked exceptionally upset. He wanted to go up and hug his friend, Ye Moxuan, but Ye Moxuan was standing there with a placid look on his face and seemed unbothered.
George hesitated, then turned to hug Xiao Su instead. He wailed, “My friend, I can’t bear to let you go.”
Being trapped in a bear hug, Xiao Su’s lips started to twitch. “Young Master George, please let go of me now. People might misunderstand if they see two grown men hugging each other like this.”
George was dumbfounded for a moment then asked, “I’m sending my best friend off very reluctantly. Who’s going to misunderstand? Right—” He scanned his surroundings. As expected, the two grown men hugging each other did garner some attention.
Yan crossed her arms in front of her and looked at them in amusement. Standing on one side, Rory looked at Han Muzi with a blushed face as she said gently, “Muzi, I might not have known you for long, but you were my warmth in this cold country. Thank you.”
Han Muzi and Rory did not know each other for very long, let alone speak to each other all that much. It was probably because of the guard Han Muzi had up at the time. When a girl suddenly approached her with overflowing friendliness while she was in a foreign country and even added her on WeChat, Han Muzi decided that she did not want to get too close to her. But looking back now, she realized that Rory did not have any bad intentions to start with. She was just a naïve girl who met another Chinese person and subconsciously wanted to be close friends. I was just too temperamental.
Han Muzi smiled slightly and looked sideways at George. “Did you two come together?”
Rory nodded her head. “Yes. George sent me a message to tell me you were leaving and asked if I wanted to send you guys off as well.”
“Hmm… let me recall… Didn’t you loathe him at the start?” Han Muzi did not expect their relationship to take such a big leap in the time that she did not see them.
Rory blushed and laughed bashfully. Finally, she explained, “After we got to know each other more, I realized he wasn’t as loathsome as I thought he was and he’s even quite nice.”
“Quite nice?”
Rory nodded. “Yes. He’s a great person. Did you know, Muzi? He invited me to a feast!”
“F-Feast?”
“Yeah. I haven’t eaten anything good since coming here because of financial problems. Other than the meals I have at the company, I usually just starve.” She laughed awkwardly. “You won’t give me the cold-shoulder, right?”
Han Muzi looked at Rory and noticed that she was indeed skinny. Han Muzi recalled that Rory did not end up telling her where she lived last time. It seemed like her life was quite difficult.
“Why would I give you the cold-shoulder? George is a good man. But…” Han Muzi trailed off as she felt like her proceeding words were unnecessary. “Just think through everything carefully. If you ever come back to the country, you can look for me.”
“Okay. Then, remember not to change your WeChat! Otherwise, I won’t be able to find you. But…” Her smile faded slightly. “The chances of me returning are low. Don’t worry though; I’ll find a way to see you!”
“Mm.”
“We have to go through security now,” Ye Moxuan said in a deep voice as he reminded her.
Rory pressed, “Oh, right! You guys shouldn’t delay any longer. Hurry on now to security. We’ll see you off here.”
Rory noticed that George was still nudging Xiao Su at the side with a reluctant look on his face. She went over and tugged at his sleeve. “We have to get going now.”
