Then he begged me to marry her. He said they don't care even if I have a family. All he wanted me to do was to marry her. He even said it's normal for a guy to have more than one wife. “But that's beside the point. The point is he f*cking lied. He lied to everyone, including me. I never said I would marry his daughter, but he put the words in my mouth. I was about to say no, but he was already dragging me out to see her. I couldn't stop him.” Zoey sneered. “Did you just say the divine brigadier begged you to marry his daughter?” Levi nodded. “Yes, that's absolutely right. He said he'd do whatever it takes.” Zoey continued, “And he was lying when he said you agreed to the deal?” Levi nodded again. “Yes, that's right. He lied to everyone. But he knows he messed up, so he ran away in case I beat him up.” It was the truth, but everyone didn't believe a single word of it.
