After Bruce was killed, Peter stayed with the Lab of Gods. But when even the Lab of Gods went missing, Peter was left without anywhere to go, so he came back to Triple Group. Triple Group was already working with Maya Industries then. They saw him as a traitor and locked him up to torture him.
