An Understated Dominance Chapter 2166 by Marina Vittori

Caleb’s impressive techniques left the martial artists in awe. They couldn’t believe that two simple pieces of paper had such immense power, effortlessly subduing the Predator.

“No way! He took down the leader just like that?” Ruby’s eyes widened in astonishment. She hadn’t taken Caleb seriously before, thinking he was too young and probably not very strong.

However, the outcome surprised her greatly. The ferocious Predator was already knocked down before she could even process what was happening.

Throughout the whole ordeal, Caleb hadn’t even budged from his spot. He just casually waved his hand a few times.

“So this is the strength of the new generation genius from Sacred Wrym Summit? Truly remarkable!” Miles exclaimed in admiration.

Sacred Wrym Summit was renowned for its array of esoteric techniques, including Glow Incantation, Stormcraft, and Divine Talisman.

However, mastering any of these was extremely difficult.

Most disciples of Sacred Wrym Summit primarily focused on mastering Glow Incantation. Only after mastering this could they move on to Stormcraft.

Similarly, only after mastering Stormcraft could they qualify to study Divine Talisman.

In other words, those who could use Divine Talisman were experts in Glow Incantation and Stormcraft. But at Sacred Wrym Summit, such individuals were scarce.

It typically took a grueling 50 years of training to master Glow Incantation and Stormcraft alone. Hence, mastering the Divine Talisman was an even greater feat.

Caleb, at such a young age, was effortlessly commanding Divine Talisman. He showcased talents and cultivation far surpassing those of self- proclaimed elites.

“To have mastered Divine Talisman to this extent, at least reaching a proficient level, at merely 17 or 18 is truly monstrous!” Crystal shook her head in disbelief, feeling a sense of powerlessness creeping in.

As an elite disciple of the Sword Union, she always had her pride. However, recent events had dealt her a heavy blow.

There were just too many geniuses around, whether it was Dustin, Kendricks, or Caleb, they were all much more formidable than her.

Even in encounters with the deceased Vincent and Aldric, she might not necessarily be a match for them.

She used to be the center of attention. But now, she felt overshadowed by these true prodigies, like a mere follower. It was somewhat lamentable.

Dalen narrowed his eyes and murmured, “The rumors were true after all. This little monk is definitely someone who could make it to the Legendary List.”

If he had any doubts before, he was certain now that Caleb would easily make it onto the Legendary List.

“Now that the job’s done, you two, take that guy back.”

After dealing with the Predator, Caleb yawned and directed two Sacred Wrym Summit disciples to clean up the scene.

As they were about to carry the Predator away, Dustin suddenly stepped forward.

“Wait.”

Approaching the Predator, Dustin stood in front of him and said calmly, ” Gentlemen, there’s an order to things. This guy is my prey. Taking him away like this wouldn’t be appropriate, would it?”

“Hmm?”

Upon hearing his words, Caleb, who was about to leave, immediately stopped and looked at Dustin with some curiosity.

The others exchanged puzzled looks. None of them expected Dustin to compete with Sacred Wrym Summit over an assassin.

The round-faced disciple from Sacred Wrym Summit said politely, “Sir, this man is extremely dangerous. He’s a huge threat. Keeping him around puts you in constant danger.

“It would be better for everyone if we, from Sacred Wrym Summit, take care of him. It’s for your own good.”

“You’re overthinking. If I can defeat him once, I can defeat him a hundred times. He won’t stir up much trouble in my hands,” Dustin replied with a smile.

“Sir, we’re doing this for your own good. Please cooperate,” the round- faced disciple insisted politely.

“Thank you for your concern, but this man is valuable to me. I can’t hand him over to you.” Dustin shook his head.

The Predator held too many secrets, whether it was about the assassination or his abilities after transformation. He needed to examine it thoroughly.

“Hey! You’re being unreasonable! If it weren’t for Master Caleb’s intervention, you might not have been able to capture this man!” Another tall disciple from Sacred Wrym Summit couldn’t help but interject.

Sacred Wrym Summit typically stayed out of worldly matters, but their presence commanded respect in the martial world. Wherever they went, they earned some respect.

However, they were taken aback by Dustin’s blatant disregard for respect.

Dustin said calmly, “Firstly, I appreciate the support of Sacred Wrym Summit, and I’m not being unreasonable.

“It’s just that we’ve worked so hard for so long to capture this man. If you take him away now, wouldn’t all our efforts be in vain?”

With that, the two disciples from Sacred Wrym Summit were at a loss for words, turning their gaze toward Caleb.

In truth, they didn’t quite understand why the usually aloof Caleb was interested in the assassin.

“You’ve got a point there, and honestly, I don’t know what to say.” Caleb nodded, agreeing with Dustin’s argument.

But then, in the next moment, he changed his tone, saying, “However, taking this guy back is my old man’s order.

“I can’t do anything about it. Consider it a favor owed to you today. How about that? If you ever need help in the future, feel free to ask us.”

With that statement, the scene became lively. Everyone’s gaze toward Dustin was filled with envy and jealousy.

What did a favor from Sacred Wrym Summit imply?

It was a golden opportunity that countless people dreamt of. If utilized properly, it could not only be a lifesaver but also a stepping stone to great success.

Moreover, it could even lead to becoming a dominant figure in the region.

As beings transcending both the martial world and the authorities, it wasn’t an exaggeration to say that anyone who received a favor from Sacred Wrym Summit could change their lives.

They never expected Caleb to be so generous, easily making such a promise.

Even the most foolish person wouldn’t reject such an opportunity for unprecedented wealth and glory.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
