An Understated Dominance Chapter 2133 by Marina Vittori

“Hah! You worthless punk! How dare you be so arrogant!” Jimmy sneered, looking contemptuous.

He continued, “You can’t even lift a ten -thousand-pound cauldron. How dare you propose to lift a 50-thousand- pound cauldron? Stop bragging!”

“Jimmy, since he wants to lift the 50- thousand-pound cauldron, let him, ” Krel chimed in. “Move it in front of him. Let’s see what he’s capable of!”

He thought Dustin was just looking for excuses to scare off Jimmy with the 50- thousand-pound cauldron.

“Okay! Then I’ll show my power again! Let this punk know he can’t lift it!” Jimmy said enthusiastically.

As he spoke, he lifted the ten-thousand -pound cauldron back to the original place, then turned to the judge. “I want to challenge the 50-thousand-pound cauldron!”

“Contestant 844 has failed to lift it. Are you sure you want to challenge the 50- thousand-pound cauldron?” the judge asked.

The cauldron-lifting test had certain risks, especially if the martial artist with insufficient strength tried to lift it. It would lead to burst circulatory pathways and serious injuries.

Contestant 844 was the bloody example.

“I’m Boulderthorn’s elite disciple! How can I be compared to that man? Just watch my performance!” Jimmy was brimming with confidence.

“Since you’re confident, let’s begin.” The judge didn’t say much and took a step aside.

Jimmy adjusted his breathing, then walked straight to the 50-thousand- pound cauldron. It was nearly nine feet tall. The handle was out of reach, so he had to lift it from the base.

As before, he spit into his hands, then crouched down and held the bottom of the cauldron.

“Up!” he shouted, lifting the cauldron with all his explosive strength. His feet sank slightly due to the pressure, leaving two footprints on the ground.

The 50-thousand-pound cauldron began to rise slowly.

Jimmy gritted his teeth, holding his breath. His face turned red, and the veins bulged on his neck. He looked somewhat ferocious.

When he lifted the 50-thousand- pound cauldron an inch higher, his legs had begun to tremble, and his eyes were bloodshot.

His flushed face gradually turned pale, and blood trickled from his nose. It was clear that he had reached his limit.

Finally, after holding on for two seconds, he gave up on the heavy load and let go. All the energy in his body dissipated, and the 50-thousand- pound cauldron fell heavily, making the ground tremble.

“What a pity. Jimmy almost succeeded. “Melissa shook her head. He had already lifted it an inch. He would succeed if he tried hard to lift it above his head.

“Jimmy’s agility is superb, but he slightly lacks strength. Still, his performance is commendable.” Krel nodded.

Jimmy was slender and wasn’t built for strength, so he was at a disadvantage in this test.

“Aren’t you going to move the 50- thousand-pound cauldron to me? You can’t move it? Do you want me to help you?” Dustin said with a meaningful smile.

“I-I’m not in a good condition today! I haven’t eaten enough! I’m exhausted! Otherwise, I would be able to lift it!” Jimmy said.

His pride was at stake. He couldn’t give in, or he would look more embarrassed.

“You haven’t eaten enough?” Dustin said, raising an eyebrow. His eyes glinted mischievously. “You’re just not good enough, aren’t you? How about I give you a chance to eat something and try again?”

“You-” Jimmy’s face reddened, and he shouted angrily, “You punk! Don’t be too arrogant! Go on and do it if you can! If you can’t, stop talking nonsense!

He didn’t believe that Dustin could lift the cauldron. Even he couldn’t do it, so how could an unknown person with no sect perform such feats?

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
