An Understated Dominance Chapter 2055 by Marina Vittori

After a few drinks, everyone loosened up and started chatting. Dalen asked, “Ms. Wesley, I’ve heard you’re the Sword Union disciples. Are you here for the Combat Tournament at the Sacred Wrym Summit?”

Crystal nodded. “Yes, that’s right.” She was reserved and not much of a talker.

Ruby, the lively one, chimed in with a smile. “Dalen, truth be told, we’re here because our guildmaster told us to.

“The Ancient Sage is hosting the Combat Tournament at the Sacred Wrym Summit this time. It’s creating quite a buzz.

“Not only Sword Union, but other groups like the Celestial Alliance and the Mystics Arts Order are sending their top disciples to participate.”

“Ruby, did the Sword Union only send the three of you?” Dalen asked curiously.

“Not really,” Ruby shook her head. ” We’re here just for fun. The real Sword Union contestants are someone else.”

Ruby and Miles were only at the later stages of being divine-level martial artists. Crystal, while strong, was only halfway to becoming a grandmaster.

They weren’t up to the level of legends. So, they couldn’t be the Sword Union’s representatives in the tournament.

“Someone else? Could it be Glenn?” Dalen asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I don’t know about that.” Ruby chuckled.

She added, “Glenn is quite unpredictable. Whether he’ll participate in the Combat Tournament, no one can say for sure.

“But if he does decide to join, the championship will undoubtedly belong to our Sword Union.”

Glenn was not only at the top of the Legendary List but also made it to the Astonishing World List at a young age, making him the pinnacle talent of the Sword Union.

Unfortunately, Glenn was known for his arrogant and solitary nature, showing little regard for anyone except his guildmaster.

“Ruby, let’s not speak too soon,” Crystal interjected.

She continued, “Glenn is indeed formidable, being the top talent of the Sword Union. However, don’t forget there’s another person who stands equal with him.”

“Who is it?” Ruby looked surprised.

“Kirin, also known as Logan,” Crystal calmly stated.

“Logan? Is he stronger than Glenn?” Ruby asked.

“They’re evenly matched, whether you’re talking about the Legendary List or the Astonishing World List. We won’t know for sure who’s stronger until they face off for real,” Crystal explained.

“Crystal, you’re boosting someone else’s morale while undermining your prestige.” Miles protested.

He added, “What’s this about Kirin being comparable to Glenn? Kirin is just a name without substance. How could he be on par with Glenn?”

Glenn, the pride of Sword Union, became the ultimate grandmaster at 20.

In terms of talent and strength, he surpassed everyone in the Sword Union’s century-long history, even making the guildmaster of that time feel inadequate.

To Miles, such an outstanding talent had no equal.

Crystal, with a serious expression, emphasized. “Anyone who shares the top spot with Glenn on the Legendary List is no ordinary person. You may not like it, but you can’t underestimate Kirin.”

As a person’s cultivation level increases, they would realize the significance of being on the Legendary List.

“Ms. Wesley is right. Logan is indeed extraordinary.” Dalen concurred.

He added, “I haven’t seen him in person, but I’ve heard plenty of rumors. He’s the kind of person who makes the geniuses in Oakvale feel inferior.”

“Wow! He’s that impressive?” Ruby’s eyes lit up.

“Of course.” Dalen smiled. “I’ve heard that Logan not only has great talent and an impressive background but also has a charm that captivates many women.”

“I never thought he’d be handsome. That’s awesome!” Ruby exclaimed happily.

Good-looking, skilled in combat, and with an impressive background-men like that were hard to find.

“Don’t daydream. Someone like Logan wouldn’t even notice you.” Crystal dashed Ruby’s hopes with a dose of reality.

“Crystal! Seriously? What’s wrong with me? Why wouldn’t he be interested?” Ruby proudly defended herself, highlighting her looks, intelligence, and popularity.

She continued, “I’m everyone’s dream girl, and you just can’t see it!”

Crystal looked at Ruby and said, “If you had Dalen’s face, maybe you’d stand a chance.” 1

After hearing this, both Dustin and Dalen spit out their drinks.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
