An Understated Dominance Chapter 2021 by Marina Vittori

“What? Soul Elixir?”

The Harmony Sect members were shocked.

For martial artists, Soul Elixir was considered a highly coveted treasure for cultivation. With enough of it, even an ordinary martial artist could progress rapidly and break through to the realm of a grandmaster.

Unfortunately, Soul Elixir was an exceedingly rare precious substance, typically only found in the most extraordinary treasures of nature. Obtaining it was also an arduous process involving intricate refinement and purification.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to claim that even a single drop of Soul Elixir was worth a fortune, and a small bottle of it could potentially spark a bloodbath.

If Sophia’s water bottles contained Soul Elixir, the disciples couldn’t even begin to imagine their value.

“You’re right, Master Peach. These bottles are indeed filled with Soul Elixir, and it’s not just one bottle either. I have eight of them!” Sophia revealed.

“Eight… Eight big bottles of Soul Elixir? “Bertha was stunned that her hands trembled slightly.

The rest of the disciples also doubted their hearing, expressing disbelief.

If all the bottles contained Soul Elixir, it would present an unparalleled opportunity for Harmony Sect. With the precious substance, the sect could easily elevate itself to the status of a first-tier sect!

“Excellent! This is incredible! With the Soul Elixir, Harmony Sect will finally rise to prominence!”

“Sophia! You truly are our lucky star!”

“Starting today, I declare you as the successor to the sect leader. You shall enjoy the same privileges as the elders! “Bertha was overjoyed. In her excitement, she declared Sophia as the successor.

The elders and guardians had no objections to her decision since Sophia was Harmony Sect’s most talented disciple and would eventually replace the sect leader.

With her significant contribution today, her position was even more secure. Bertha was merely acknowledging her future role ahead of time.

“Thank you, Master Peach! I will make sure to work my hardest for Harmony Sect going forward!” Sophia lit up and bowed respectfully.

She knew she wouldn’t be able to monopolize the treasures alone, and it would be better to hand them over to her sect. That way, she would not only earn merit but also receive special treatment.

“Excellent! I knew you were special!” Bertha patted Sophia’s shoulder, feeling gratified.

With the amount of Soul Elixir that Sophia brought back, Bertha could finally break through the constraints that had hindered her progress for several years.

“Master Peach, there is something else I wish to report.”

Sophia seemed to have remembered something and continued, “Even though I gained a lot on this journey, the best treasure was taken by someone else.”

“Oh? By who?” Bertha’s gaze hardened.

“She’s only known by her last name, Linsor. I don’t have information on her background, but she doesn’t seem to be from the Southwest.

“She also has a very formidable bodyguard with her. He’s a young grandmaster and is much more skilled than the leader of Frostwing Sect,” Sophia reported solemnly.

“A young grandmaster who is even stronger than the leader of Frostwing Sect?” Bertha frowned.

Although she was also a grandmaster, she was weaker than Alexander, the Frostwing Sect’s leader.

If the young grandmaster could defeat Alexander, he definitely wasn’t someone Harmony Sect could easily provoke.

“Master, I think we should rope in that young grandmaster. With him on our side, we won’t just gain a significant ally, but we could even seize the treasure from Linsor,” Sophia whispered.

“Good idea. If a young grandmaster like him were to join us, we would only stand to benefit.” Bertha nodded in agreement.

She then asked, “Sophia, do you already have a good plan in mind?”

“I wouldn’t claim it’s a good plan, but I could try. As long as I can capture his heart, there’s no doubt he’ll be on our side,” Sophia said with a meaningful smile.

She believed Dustin had rejected her earlier because there was a crowd, and he wasn’t willing to show that side of him in public. Therefore, she intended to make a more private attempt. She was confident in her charms and was sure that no man could resist her with a little scheming.

“Excellent! I’ll leave this matter to you. It’ll be great if it works, but if it doesn’t, we’ll find another way.”

With Sophia’s outstanding looks and figure, Bertha was confident that she would be successful in her seduction.

“Sophia, I’m curious. What exactly is the treasure that woman possesses?” Pauline asked suddenly.

“It’s a Spirit Core!”

Sophia kept her tone mysterious, “The Spirit Core was created by the vitality of a large amount of Soul Elixir and can continuously generate spiritual energy. Its value is a thousand times greater than the Soul Elixir we have on hand!”

“A Spirit Core?” Upon hearing this, everyone’s expressions shifted dramatically, and their breaths became rapid.

With the Soul Elixir already an exceptionally precious treasure, the Spirit Core, claimed to be even better, would be the true invaluable treasure.

If they could bring it back to Harmony Sect, they would be able to train many martial arts experts within just ten years.

Some of the elders might even get the chance to break through to the level of a grandmaster, turning Harmony Sect into the strongest sect in Southwest.

“Sophia, are you sure?” Bertha asked in a lowered voice.

“Absolutely, I saw it with my own eyes. That woman pulled the most weight but only took the Spirit Core. It must be an extraordinary item.” Sophia nodded seriously.

“Who else knows about the Spirit Core? “Bertha asked again.

“Many people saw it, but I doubt many recognize its significance,” Sophia explained.

“Excellent! Keep this matter discreet for now. Try your best to win over that young grandmaster. No matter the outcome, leave the rest to me!” Bertha whispered.

“Understood!” Sophia responded.

“Enough standing around. Hurry and make preparations. There’s likely to be a significant battle tonight.” Bertha narrowed her eyes, a murderous glint flashing through them.

At that moment, she had already decided to resort to violence for the treasure.

While the Soul Elixir was valuable, it would eventually be depleted. However, the Spirit Core was different. It could provide a continuous source of spiritual energy for martial artists to cultivate.

It was just like an endless treasure trove. A treasure like that was compelling enough for her to consider risking the entire Harmony Sect to obtain it.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
