An Understated Dominance Chapter 1862 by Marina Vittori

“You want to set an ambush for Reagan? I don’t think it’ll be that easy. Reagan is more capable than me.

“He’ll definitely find out if something is off. We won’t be able to stop him if he wants to escape either,” Dustin said indifferently.

Reagan was number five on the Astonishing World List. In other words, he was ranked number five in the world. Thus, it was extremely hard to kill someone like him.

A simple ambush plan like that would not work at all. Julius must have been unsure of Reagan’s capability or he was playing dumb. Otherwise, there was no way he could come up with that plan.

“Naturally, we can’t kill him just like that. We can poison him.”

While saying that, Julius looked toward Rufus. “There are many rare treasures in your treasure room. I remember there’s a poison called Deicide Venom.”

“Deicide Venom? The top poison of the ten deadliest poisons?” Dustin was stunned. The ten deadliest poisons were so terrifying that it would make an individual tremble at the mere mention.

Among them, the top-ranked Deicide Venom could make everyone shudder regardless of their cultivation level.

Moreover, it was undefendable, irremediable, and irremovable. However, Deicide Venom only existed in rumors. Nobody had seen it with their own eyes before.

Dustin didn’t expect such a weapon to be hidden in his father’s treasure room. “That’s right. Deicide Venom is the most deadly poison in the world. Anyone affected by it would be dead regardless of their capability or cultivation level.

“Of course, the one from Sacred Wrym Summit would be the only one not affected,” Rufus said. Rufus added the last sentence because the one from Sacred Wrym Summit could not be considered human.

“I didn’t expect you to be so well- informed. You even know about the treasures I collected,” Rufus replied meaningfully.

“I only got to know it by chance. It’s purely coincidental.” Julius smiled. Naturally, he wouldn’t reveal the fact that he had planted a spy beside Rufus.

It would only invite more suspicion on Julius.

“Although Deicide Venom is more powerful, it has quite a disadvantage. You need to get about ten feet close to the enemy, not to mention discreetly.

“If the enemy is on guard, the success rate will greatly decrease,” Rufus explained.

“You don’t need to worry about this. I’ll meet Reagan at the secret spot according to our promise. At that time, I’ll use Deicide Venom on him unexpectedly.

“It wouldn’t matter if Reagan had extraordinary abilities or not. He’d be doomed either way. With him gone, the remnants of the Dragon Guard would not have a leader.

“It’ll just be a matter of time when they’ll wipe out,” Julius claimed confidently.

“Dustin, what do you think?” Rufus looked toward Dustin.

“We can try his plan. If he succeeds, we can get rid of a big threat.” Dustin nodded in agreement. Now that Reagan’s whereabouts were unknown, only Julius had a chance to get close to him. Thus, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.

Naturally, it would be best if he succeeded. If he failed, however, it wouldn’t be too much of a loss to them.

“Okay. Let’s proceed with Julius’ plan.”

Rufus nodded and looked toward Eloise beside him. “Eloise, head to the third floor of the treasure room and take Deicide Venom to use.”

“Okay,” Eloise answered and quickly left.

“Uncle Julius, this will be a dangerous mission. For your safety, I have a gift for you.”

Dustin suddenly took out a black pill and handed it to Julius. With a smile, he said, “This is Rejuvenatium which I prepared for you.

“After taking it, not only can it quickly heal injuries, but it can also increase your cultivation level. It has many advantages.”

“Rejuvenatium?”

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
