An Understated Dominance Chapter 1681 by Marina Vittori

After the explosion, it was chaotic at the base of the mountain. However, it was eerily silent on top of the mountain.

When the dust settled, the whole top of Quandary Mountain was bald. It was as if a typhoon had torn through the top.

The Scenic Monastery was nothing but rubble, and most of the plants were uprooted. Even Cesar and Elder Shade, who were observing from the side, had to retreat further to avoid the aftermath of the explosion.

At this moment, Seth stood quietly in the middle of the mountaintop. The Dragon Sparrow Sword glittered and floated in front of him. A few yards away, Frost’s shimmering blue sword was stuck to the ground while he looked very pale.

The skin between his thumb and index finger was slashed open, and fresh blood dripped onto the rock. His arms were trembling involuntarily.

“Frost Bane, you’ve lost,” Seth said casually.

“Your sword skills are amazing, but unfortunately, you’re still not too weak.

“Who said I lost?”

With a determined look, Frost said through gritted teeth, “I still have one more trick up my sleeve! If you can block this attack, I’ll never practice swords anymore!”

“Why would you do that?” Seth frowned slightly. “You’re still young and have many options. Why would you torture yourself this way?”

“If I can’t be the first, my life would be meaningless!” Frost said nothing else as he forcefully pulled Starshine out from the ground and thrust forward.

As he attacked, a sudden and heavy bloody mist appeared around the surface of his body. There was a huge energy in the bloody mist, absorbing the spiritual energy around it.

At that moment, Frost’s aura was transformed instantly. His speed and strength increased exponentially.

The strength of his internal energy was escalated to another level as well. In a quick glance, it was as if he had reached a whole new level.

“Fuck, Frost is really risking his life!” Elder Shade yelled out in surprise when he saw what was happening.

“Elder Shade! Get ready, here’s our chance!” Instead of shock, Cesar looked happy. He was ready to fight.

It was difficult to defeat Seth in a one- on-one battle. They could only win by using sneak attacks. They would have to injure him when he least expected it.

“Did you have to drain your core energy and ruin the fruits of your training?” Seth sighed softly.

The bloody mist surrounding Frost was a result of him draining his core energy. Using this method would increase his power momentarily.

However, his body would be seriously injured regardless of the battle’s outcome. This injury would be very grave and irreversible.

This was very risky as they would have to put their life and martial arts skills on the line. They could deal a great blow to their enemy but would have to sustain a more serious injury themselves.

This method should only be used in extremely dire circumstances, as no sane person would use this method casually.

Clearly, Frost, a sword fanatic, could no longer be considered normal.

“Final Death Blow!” Frost let out a low growl, and the bloody mist surrounding him grew bigger. The bloody mist enveloped his body and Starshine.

All of a sudden, Starshine became a huge crimson sword. Frost rushed toward Seth with all his destructive might.

Seth suddenly looked more serious when he saw Frost’s new attack. He quickly drew a small gold formation in the air and used it on the Dragon Sparrow Sword.

The sword let out a soft buzz and suddenly glowed gold and bright with a blinding brilliance. Seth pointed the sword forward. As soon as he did that, the Dragon Sparrow Sword transformed into a gold light and flew out rapidly.

Once again, it collided heavily with Frost’s crimson sword. The collision resulted in a deafening explosion and sent everything flying.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
