An Understated Dominance Chapter 1646 by Marina Vittori

A series of deafening explosions rang out. Under the overwhelming force of Dustin’s massive palm strike, the intimidating lightning was devoured, the dense wind blades shattered, and the sharp ice spikes instantaneously melted away.

Every attack launched by the Stormfire Order was utterly crushed. Even the concealed weapons launched by the Skyshadow Sect rebounded, falling like rain and producing a melodious tinkling sound.

“Wh-What?”

The Silver Sage was dumbfounded to witness the Fivefold Sevenbane Formation rendered ineffective. His legs went weak, and he collapsed to the ground, his face filled with terror.

The other elite fighters of the Stormfire Order were also trembling, their faces drained of color.

Their intense assault had drained all of their strength, leaving them like lambs awaiting slaughter, utterly devoid of any means to resist. All they could do was await their fate.

“Hurry! Run!” Madam Monroe screamed before bolting. If they were to come into contact with Dustin’s palm strike, even if it were just a slight graze, it would lead to fatal consequences.

That wasn’t the kind of power a regular grandmaster could unleash. It seemed like Dustin had already reached the level of an ultimate grandmaster!

More deafening explosions reverberated through the air. The white palm shadow advanced relentlessly, claiming the lives of several experts from the Stormfire Order who couldn’t dodge on time.

Some Nexus Gate disciples, who were too close and hadn’t reacted in time were also obliterated into remnants. Even the Skyshadow Sect disciples who had launched concealed weapons from far behind were affected to varying degrees.

Dustin’s massive palm shadow was like a meat grinder, obliterating all enemies in its straight-line path.

For a moment, blood and flesh splattered while limbs were torn apart, leaving the ground with a long and gruesome trail of crimson blood.

After the palm strike, calm returned. Among the Stormfire Order disciples, only the Silver Sage managed to survive, but he was left in a state of paralyzing shock, trembling uncontrollably.

Due to their proximity to the strike, over half of the Nexus Gate disciples had either been killed or suffered severe injuries.

Even the Skyshadow Sect disciples who had been the furthest away, were implicated, resulting in the death or injury of several members.

The entire scene fell into an abrupt silence. Everyone stared wide-eyed at the unbelievable scene before them, too frightened to utter a word.

Nobody expected Dustin to be that strong. He had kept his skills to himself, and the moment he took action, he had eliminated nearly half of the people present with just one strike.

Just a moment ago, they had all been flashy and showy in their attacks, only to be defeated by a simple palm strike.

This immense gap in power was insurmountable.

It was at that moment that everyone felt a deep sense of fear. They finally understood just how terrifying the Kirin was. In the martial arts world, many self- proclaimed skilled fighters didn’t deserve their grandiose reputations. But Logan, the Kirin, was quite the opposite.

Most people assumed that Logan’s disappearance for a decade would have made him fade into obscurity.

However, contrary to these expectations, he avoided mediocrity and grew even more outstanding, powerful, and unfathomable.

“It’s over. Are we going to die here?”

“If we had known Logan was this difficult to deal with, we wouldn’t have come to vie for credit.”

“It’s too late for regrets now. Let’s focus on figuring out how to escape from this situation.”

After a brief silence, the crowd quickly grew restless once more. Many of those present had lost their courage to fight and only wished to escape as soon as possible.

“Anders, you’ve been watching this show for quite a while now. Don’t you think it’s time you get personally involved?”

Dustin ignored the terrified crowd, directing his gaze at Anders instead, who had been observing the battle from a distance.

Anders had been patiently waiting, conserving his strength. He had intended to wear Dustin down through the sheer number of people to fight.

It was indeed a cunning plan. Anders was clapping as he approached Dustin with a smile. “As expected of the Kirin, you truly live up to your name.

“I had initially planned to use these people to force you to reveal your true strength, but it seems like these folks are all useless trash. Seems like I can only step in personally now.”

“Anders, you’re quite the remarkable talent. I have no intention of killing you. If you retreat now, I can pretend that all these never happened,” Dustin said coldly.

“Hahaha “Anders laughed, firing back, “Oh, Logan, do you honestly think you’re unbeatable? I might have had my reservations a decade ago, but now, you’re a mere speck in my path!”

Logan’s past excellence wasn’t solely a result of his exceptional talent. The vast resources of the West Lucozian monarchy played a crucial role. 1

Everything within his grasp -the array of elixirs and rare treasures, including top-notch cultivation techniques and secret arts-were all of the highest quality in this world. In such a nurturing environment, not only a person but even a pig could soar to great heights.

This was precisely why Logan could establish widespread acclaim a decade ago, surpassing numerous prodigies. However, the present was an entirely different story.

Logan had disappeared for a decade, losing access to the West Lucozian resources and inevitably slowing down his progress. In contrast, Anders, fueled by the resources from the Mosey family, advanced rapidly.

After further honing his skills on the battlefield, he became unstoppable and was hailed as the strongest God of War.

While Logan remained stagnant for a decade, Anders had been on a continuous upward trajectory. The gap between them had widened significantly.

In his eyes, the so-called “Kirin” was nothing more than a flash in the pan.

“Anders, I’m giving you a chance. If you persist in your ways, today, here at the foot of Quandary Mountain, will be your grave!” Dustin said with an expressionless face.

“Logan, you managed to defeat me through sheer luck ten years ago, but today, I am determined to wipe away that shame!”

Anders puffed out his chest and declared loudly, “I will prove to the world that I am more outstanding, powerful, and gifted than you, Logan!”

“Since you’re so eager to meet your demise, then come at me.” Dustin didn’t say more, only beckoning with his hand.

Out of respect for Seamus, Dustin had considered letting Anders live. However, that was no longer possible at this point. Once the battle began, it would be a fight to the death.

“Logan, over these years, I’ve kept training, leaving no room for complacency, just to defeat you. Now, the time has come to test the results of my efforts.

“I will use your life as a stepping stone to becoming a legend. Once I’ve killed you, I will be the top talent in the world!

“So, go to hell, Logan!” Anders laughed maniacally and made the first move, officially commencing the life-and- death battle between the two talented geniuses.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
