An Understated Dominance Chapter 1641 by Marina Vittori

“Up for the challenge to reach the end? Go ahead, take a spin,” Dustin remarked, his face impassive and his gaze indifferent.

“Hmph! Foolish thing that doesn’t know its place, I’ll teach you the might of the Nexus Dominator Fist today!” Brock snorted, poised to strike, when another voice interrupted.

“Hold on!”

Within the Stormfire Order, Silver Sage, in elegant attire, exuding an otherworldly presence, took a couple of steps forward and announced, “Master Brock, your strength is commendable, but you’re not Logan’s match. This situation is more complex than it appears. Allow me to handle it for you.”

The mission to defeat Logan was a confidential order from the Dragon Guard, and the one who achieved the first victory would receive significant rewards. Such opportunities were not to be missed.

“Master Elias, your words sound like you’re underestimating me,” Brock furrowed his brow, displeased. “The Nexus Gate has its reputation, and if I can’t handle this kid, I might as well shut our doors!”

“True! Even though the Stormfire Order is formidable, we, the Nexus Gate, aren’t pushovers!” the disciples of Nexus Gate shouted in agreement.

“Master Brock, I’m looking out for your well-being,” Silver Sage calmly stated. “If you lose to Logan today, not only will your reputation crumble, but your life will be in peril.”

“Thanks for your concern, Master Elias. If I lose, it’s because of my lack of skill, and I’ll accept the consequences,” Brock said coldly.

“Easy there, you two, no need to get all worked up.” A lively, alluring woman strolled out from the Skyshadow Sect, flashing a friendly smile. “We’re all on the same team here. Let’s not let a little squabble ruin the mood. How about I take the lead and test Logan’s mettle?”

Seeing a chance for some well- deserved credit, being the leader of the Skyshadow Sect, she wasn’t willing to let it slip away.

“Seems like everyone’s hungry for a piece of the action.” Silver Sage surveyed the scene with a casual air. ” But, with such a small feast and so many hungry guests, someone might leave with an empty stomach.”

“Given the ladies first’ rule, I reckon the honor of starting this showdown should be mine,” Brock insisted, showing no sign of backing down.

“Enough with the bickering. The three of you can come at me together,” Dustin interjected, his patience wearing thin.

Before any real confrontation, they were already squabbling over credit. Did they see Dustin as a defenseless target waiting to be carved up?

“Arrogant!”

“Outrageous!”

“Impudent!”

Dustin’s words elicited furious responses from representatives of different sects. Each of their leaders was a formidable presence in their regard. When had they ever been treated with such disrespect? It was nothing short of a clear humiliation!

“Insolent brat, if you’re so eager to die, I’ll grant your wish!” Brock no longer wasted any words. He lunged forward, propelled with incredible speed, heading straight for Dustin.

“Thinking of hogging all the glory? You must be dreaming!” Silver Sage refused to be outdone. With a single step, he transformed into a blur, electric sparks crackling between his palms-a terrifying sight to behold.

“And you two cunning foxes, don’t think you can leave me behind,” the woman from the Skyshadow Sect sneered, waving her hand-a barrage of concealed weapons shot forth from her sleeves, aiming directly at Dustin’s vital points.

The Skyshadow Sect excelled in the art of stealthy attacks with concealed weapons; close combat wasn’t exactly her forte. Plus, with the advantage of delayed projectile release, she might seize the chance to claim the credit if she could manage a swift and deadly strike.

The trio each had their ulterior motives, unleashing distinct forms of attack. Charging ahead was the fiery man, his fists ablaze with intense heat. His punches left a trail of scorched earth, showcasing his formidable power.

Trailing behind was Silver Sage, patiently waiting for his moment. Lightning crackled between the palms of his hands, creating a daunting display.

Meanwhile, the woman continued her relentless assault with concealed weapons, gearing up for a well-timed long-range strike.

“Nexus Dominator Fist!”

After closing the distance, Brock suddenly roared. Vast energy converged in his arms, causing them to swell abruptly, becoming even more formidable.

“Die!”

With a simple buildup, Brock unleashed a punch toward Dustin’s chest and abdomen.

A resounding boom echoed, and the surface around Brock’s body suddenly displayed the illusion of an elephant.

The massive creature, towering like a small mountain, exuded daunting pressure. As Brock’s iron fist struck, the illusory elephant raised its front hooves, slamming them heavily on Dustin.

“What a terrifying fist technique! Is this the legendary Nexus Dominator Fist? It’s impressive!”

“Master Brock has roamed the martial world for many years without defeat. Logan is no match for him.”

“Our master is mighty! Our master is awesome!”

Witnessing the powerful fist technique, disciples from various sects expressed amazement-especially the Nexus Gate disciples, their spirits soaring, shouted cheers.

Anticipation filled the air as they eagerly awaited the spectacle of their master, expecting Dustin to be obliterated. Dustin sneered, “You’re overestimating your abilities.”

As the incoming fist approached, he stood unyielding, meeting it head-on with a seemingly ordinary punch that revealed no visible surge of energy. However, unbeknownst to the crowds, this apparent normalcy concealed the true power within.

The clash ensued, shaking the ground, shattering stones, and obliterating plants and trees within a thirty-yard radius-a death zone. Powerful shockwaves surged, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. The woman’s concealed weapons were deflected, and even Silver Sage, preparing to seize credit, halted in his tracks.

Disciples from various sects were left awestruck by the force of that punch. Was this the full power of a grandmaster martial artist? It was truly terrifying. After a few moments, the residual shockwaves subsided, restoring calm to the surroundings.

However, as everyone directed their gaze forward, they were met with a jaw -dropping sight. Dustin stood several dozen yards ahead, the ground beneath his feet marked by a small crater. Unperturbed and untouched, he exuded an air of serenity.

Contrastingly, the leader of the Nexus Gate, who had mysteriously vanished moments ago, was now nowhere to be found. Not a trace of him remained, leaving the crowds to discern only a pit filled with blood, flesh, and torn clothing.

The esteemed leader of the Nexus Gate, Brock, had been utterly obliterated, leaving behind nothingness.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
