An Understated Dominance Chapter 1600 by Marina Vittori

However, Eleanor never expected Anders’ so-called ambush would involve Holly’s lifeless body. Everyone knew that Holly was Fenley’s younger sister.

Now that Holly was dead, Fenley would undoubtedly take action, and everyone involved in the incident would face the consequences.

It wasn’t only Dustin that would suffer. They would have to suffer with him. It wasn’t until this moment that she realized Anders had used them. They were like pawns that could be discarded at any moment.

However, at this point, it was too late for regrets. All Eleanor could do now was to firmly hold her ground and try her best to extricate herself from the situation.

“Are you telling me this has nothing to do with you?” Dustin narrowed his eyes.

“That’s right. We know nothing!” Eleanor immediately shook her head.

“That’s right. We’ve been framed. Please don’t misunderstand!” Elena echoed repeatedly.

“Alright, since you claim it has nothing to do with you, then tell me, who exactly was behind this? Who instructed you to do this?” Dustin countered.

“I…” Eleanor paled and instinctively glanced at Elena. Elena avoided her gaze, looking guilty and unsure of how to respond.

“Are you not willing to tell me, or are you having trouble making up a story?” Dustin’s gaze was hostile.

“I gave you a chance, but you didn’t take it. If that’s how you want it, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

With that, Dustin suddenly grabbed Eleanor’s throat and lifted her over his head. Eleanor struggled to breathe, her face flushing red while the veins on her forehead bulged. Her entire being was overwhelmed with a fear of death, causing her to tremble uncontrollably.

“Dustin! Don’t act recklessly! We-!”

Elena was about to do something about it and threaten Dustin when she felt her neck squeeze. Dustin had seized her by the throat with his other hand and lifted her up from her wheelchair.

“Both of you deserve to die!” Dustin grabbed them both in his hands like they were nothing.

“Stop it right there!” Right then, a furious roar erupted from the door. Following the noise, a group of martial artists dressed in formidable attire rushed into the room. Judging from their clothes, they were the Celestial Alliance’s elite fighters.

“You bastard! You’ve got quite the nerve to start a scene at Grace Brothel. Are you tired of living?” a man with a crew cut who led the group yelled angrily.

“Who are you?” Dustin released his grip, letting the two women fall heavily to the ground.

“My name is Allen Bosman. I’m the Celestial Alliance’s attendant, in charge of Grace Brothel.

“Anyone who stirs up trouble here is disrespecting me and the Celestial Alliance!” Allen glared at them as he yelled.

“Mr. Bosman, you’ve arrived just in time. We’ve got a big problem at Grace Brothel!” At that moment, a lady with heavy makeup rushed down the flight of stairs, looking anxious.

“There’s no need to worry, Madam Lynch. I just stopped this bastard from attacking someone,” Allen said, still oblivious to the situation.

“He didn’t just attack someone, he killed them!”

Madam Lynch pointed at Dustin and uttered with a trembling voice, “H- He… He just killed Holly!

“What? Holly is dead?” Allen was shocked and stood there in stunned silence.

He had only thought there was a disturbance, not a murder case. Not to mention, Holly had been the victim. She was an important member of the Celestial Alliance and held a higher position than he did.

With her sudden death, it was likely to send shockwaves across the Celestial Alliance!

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
