An Understated Dominance Chapter 1471 by Marina Vittori

Eleanor was secretly pleased to see that all three of them had agreed to it. A sly smirk graced her features.

What a bunch of idiots! All it took were a few words to agitate them, and now they fell into her trap. She would never have suggested such a bet if she was not fully confident that she would win!

Framing them with the dead body had just been Plan A. But now, they would go all out and deploy Plan B. As long as Dustin agreed to take her up on the bet, he’d be jumping head-first into the trap Eleanor had laid out for him.

“Draft us an agreement to sign now!” Eleanor ordered. The people who were with Eleanor immediately began busying themselves.

A while later, two copies of an agreement were brought to her. Relevant clauses of the agreement were clearly stated.

Not only would the losers need to surrender their formula, but they would also have to make a public apology and promise never to sell similar products again.

“Have you had a good look at it yet? If you have, then go ahead and sign it,” Eleanor urged. Dustin, Lana, and Bo said nothing. After checking that everything was correct with the agreement, they all proceeded to sign it.

Eleanor and Ezra exchanged a glance before signing on it, too. The agreement had officially come into effect.

“Hahaha! You three are such idiots! You actually agreed to the bet! I can’t believe it!”

Seeing that her ploy was working, Eleanor no longer felt the need to cover things up. She taunted mercilessly, “Rejuvenaid already has its own market, and we’ve also received a large number of orders. You, however, have only just launched. How can you compete against us?”

It was true that Dew Balm was sold at a cheaper price than Rejuvenaid, and it was also much more effective.

Given enough time and publicity, it would surely be a hit product with demands surpassing even that of Rejuvenaid’s.

But unfortunately, they no longer had such a chance. They were digging their own grave to compete against Rejuvenaid before they had a stable market!

“Dustin, everyone saw you sign the agreement. It’s too late for you to regret your decision now. It’d be best for you to give up now!” Ezra sneered.

With so many reporters and onlookers, they were not afraid that Dustin would deny accepting the bet. Besides, they had the signed agreement too.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself. We don’t know who will end up losing yet,” Dustin said casually.

“Is that so?” Ezra scoffed. “I see that you’re not one to regret until death stares you in the face. I’ll make sure that you’re totally defeated!”

With that said, Ezra raised his hands and clapped twice. A long, red banner was unrolled on the building opposite the road. A congratulatory message was printed on it in bold.

“Congratulations on the official launch of Rejuvenaid Pharmaceuticals!”

Once the banner was unrolled, things immediately became lively on both sides of the road. Two musical bands made their way toward Rejuvenaid Pharmaceuticals from both sides of the building. Their music attracted a huge crowd.

“Gather round and have a look, everyone! We’re having a company launching event today, so whoever buys Rejuvenaid will get a discount and a nice gift from Rejuvenaid Pharmaceuticals!

“The gifts are limited, so we’re giving them out on a first-come, first-served basis!”

An emcee with a microphone in hand hollered at the crowd opposite the road. People from several streets down could hear him clearly.

“They’re giving out gifts with every purchase? Let’s go and have a look!”

“Hurry, we should go check it out too! We have to get it before they’re out of gifts!”

The emcee’s announcement managed

to attract a lot of attention.

Several people in the crowd were brought by the Welch and Swanson families beforehand. They quickly urged the rest of the crowd to flock over to Rejuvenaid Pharmaceuticals.

After receiving a subtle nod from Ezra, the reporters, too, crossed the road and began to publicize the event and report it on their media.

Within mere minutes, it was deserted over at the Camrons. There were only a few staff left. All the crowd and excitement had gone over to Rejuvenaid Pharmaceuticals.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
