An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1282

“Grandpa, why did you bring a stranger up here again?” Harper frowned, displeased.

“Harper, be nice!”

Brooke said with a stern face, “This young man just saved Harmony Healers, so he’s our savior. It’s only polite that I invite him up for a drink.”

“How did he help us?” Harper looked him up and down with a curious gaze. “We had a little bit of trouble earlier at the clinic. This young man helped us and saved our reputation.” Brooke said seriously.

If Eleanor really died at Harmony Healers, he feared that Harmony Healers’ reputation wasn’t the only thing that would be lost.

“Grandpa, stop joking! We have so many doctors at Harmony Healers. “Is there anything that we can’t cure? Do we need extra help?” Harper didn’t believe it.

Harmony Healers was very famous. Most hospitals would normally send the patients that they couldn’t cure to them. Dustin appeared young. How could he be any better than the doctors at Harmony Healers?

“Harper, don’t judge a book by its cover. Dustin may be young, but his skills as a doctor are impressive. He is as good as you are!” Brooke said.

“You say that every time. Fine, you guys continue. I’m going back to my room.” Harper didn’t want to say too much.

She went back to her room after casting Dustin a side glance, “Young man, I apologize for my granddaughter’s behavior. I must have been too lenient with her, thus, her rudeness.” Brooke looked helpless.

“It’s alright. Ms. Busch is just being honest.” Dustin smiled.

“Here, have a seat.” Brooke gestured toward a chair. When Dustin sat down, he poured him a glass of water and asked, “Young man, how may I help you?”

There were only two types of visitors to Harmony Healers. They were usually patients, or they were here to study traditional medicine. Brooke hoped that Dustin was one of the latter.

“Dr. Busch, honestly, I came to see you because I wanted to find someone,” Dustin said frankly.

“Oh, who is it?” Brooke was curious. “Have you ever heard of someone named Cinna Shaffer?” Dustin’s eyes gleamed hopefully.

“Cinna Shaffer?” Brooke was a little taken aback. A glint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he quickly recovered his composure as if nothing had happened. But Dustin noticed this small change.

“Young man, I don’t know anyone named Cinna Shaffer. You must have asked the wrong person.” Brooke shook his head and feigned ignorance.

“You don’t know? But I heard that Cinna Shaffer is here in Harmony Healers?” Dustin narrowed his eyes. “We receive hundreds of patients daily here at Harmony Healers. I can’t recall at once if we have a patient named Cinna Shaffer.” Brooke remained calm.

“It’d be troublesome if you don’t even know his whereabouts.” Dustin sighed. “I may not know him, but I can help you ask around. May I know why you are looking for him?” Brooke pried.

“Cinna Shaffer is my savior. I’m looking for him so I can repay his good deeds.” Dustin replied with a serious. expression.

“Understood.”

Brooke nodded thoughtfully and continued, “That’s fine. I’ll keep an eye out for him. “I’ll inform you as soon as I have any news about him.”

“Your help is much appreciated.” Dustin stood up and bowed slightly. “You must be very busy. I’ll get going now. Thank you for your time.”

“Please.” Brooke stood up with a smile and showed him the way out. He watched Dustin leave and made sure he had gone far before sighing with relief.

“How could it be? It’s been ten years, and there’s still someone looking for Cinna Shaffer?

“Could it be? Could there be a mole?” Brooke murmured as he looked toward the stairs leading to the third floor.

Cinna Shaffer had a sensitive identity. If it were exposed, the whole of Harmony Healers would be destroyed in an instant!

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
