An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1248

“We can only hope that the Princess Consort of Theswe will not implicate us Grants,” Arthur said, swallowing dryly.

He had lost his previous arrogance. It was now replaced with fear and anxiety. The Princess Consort of Theswe’s appearance had changed the situation unexpectedly.

“Hmph! You bunch of impudent scum! You would have lost your heads if the Prince of Theswe was here!” The beautiful woman sneered.

Then, under the watchful eyes of many, she walked up to Dustin. Her previously proud and cold demeanor disappeared. It was now replaced with a rare smile.

“Logan, long time no see. How have you been all these years?”

“Thank you for your concern, Your Highness. I’ve been living quite well.” Dustin nodded slightly without arrogance. While he didn’t exactly hate the woman before him, he didn’t have positive feelings about her either.

“Ten years had gone by so quickly. You’ve grown so much, I almost didn’t recognize you.”

She smiled, then waved to someone behind her. “Austin, why are you still standing there? Come and greet your brother.”

“Logan?” Austin stood frozen in place, examining Dustin from head to toe. His expression betrayed his astonishment, joy, and disbelief. He rubbed his eyes.

After making sure it wasn’t a mistake, he suddenly leaped into Dustin’s arms and held him tight. Bawling loudly, he cried, “Logan, I’ve missed you so much! I couldn’t believe it when our old man first said you were alive.

“But you are alive! This is great!

“Ten years! It’s been ten years! Do you know how I’ve been living for the past ten years?

“You promised to take me on adventures around the world, but you left me all alone at home instead! You’re so heartless!”

Austin disregarded his image as he cried bitterly in Dustin’s arms. He looked like a wife who had just been abandoned.

“Okay, that’s enough. You’re in your twenties now. Does it make sense for you to cry like this?” Dustin patted his shoulder.

Austin Rhys was Dustin’s half-brother from a different mother and a mischievous troublemaker. In public, this young man feared nothing. But he didn’t dare be unruly in front of Dustin.

And that was because Dustin had beaten him up many times since childhood. Yet, this young man clung to him like chewing gum. The more he beat him up, the more he became attached, so much that he couldn’t shake him off.

“I’m just happy, alright?” Austin said as he continued bawling.

“We’ve reunited after so long. Can’t I cry a little?” He sniffled.

The people around them were dumbfounded and in utter shock. Wasn’t that the Princess Consort of Theswe’s son? Why did he look like a fool?

“If you’re going to cry, do it later. I have something to deal with right now.. “Dustin pushed Austin, who was covered in snot, away in disgust.

“Oh… I almost forgot.” Austin wiped his tears away and turned his attention to Landon. He was upset when he said, “Logan, is this old man bullying you? I’ll teach him a lesson!”

As soon as he said that, he charged toward Landon. “Your Highness-” Landon was about to say something when Austin jumped up and kicked him in the face.

Landon was sent flying from the impact and fell heavily to the ground, groaning in pain. He bled from his nose and even lost two teeth, looking extremely disheveled.

“You old geezer! Do you know who you’ve offended?” Austin rolled up his sleeves and stepped on Landon’s chest.

He declared loudly, “Listen up! The person you provoked is my brother!

“The legendary Kirin! And the future Prince of West Lucozia!

“Are you dumb? How dare you challenge the Rhys family and the entire West Lucozian monarchy?”

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
