An Understated Dominance Chapter 1145 by Marina Vittori

An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1145

Even the major official institutions would have to treat Dustin with utmost respect. Dustin was young, and he displayed formidable strength. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say he could easily stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Christopher in the future.

A young prodigy like him was someone to be admired and looked up to for a lifetime. The biggest issue was that Evan, Vivian, and their group had treated Dustin with disdain and contempt. They had even resorted to offensive language.

If Dustin ever chose to retaliate, the consequences would be unimaginable. The thought sent shivers down their spines.

They regretted having offended Dustin and how foolish they acted. They had underestimated him, causing them to miss out on a valuable talent.

If they had established a good relationship with Dustin, they could have effortlessly risen to greater heights.

“Impressive, kid. You hid your true abilities so well that even I didn’t notice,” Christopher remarked. He exhaled a long sigh of relief.

The Murray family had significant resources. However, it was still a struggle to defend against the relentless attacks. Fortunately, Dustin had intervened and reversed the situation. Otherwise, the mansion might have witnessed more bloodshed.

“He did it… Dustin won! We don’t need to escape anymore!” Sheila cheered with tears of joy. Caden displayed a mix of emotions. He couldn’t decide whether to be happy or worried. Their survival in this dire situation was undoubtedly a cause for celebration.

Even so, Dustin showed outstanding performance and incredible skills. It made him unsure about how to approach the situation. Their past conflicts didn’t help, either.

“Kill every last one of the Kimbokuans! Kill them all!”

After defeating Antonio, Dustin took no time to rest. With a swing of the Celestial Blade, he led the Murray forces in wiping out the rest of the Kimbokuan assassins.

With Antonio gone, the assassins found themselves with no means of resistance. Within moments, they were defeated. The elaborate scheme that took five years to plan ultimately ended in a disastrous victory for the Murrays.

They had eliminated the invaders, but they had also suffered substantial losses. They sacrificed a significant portion of their elite forces. At the same time, they also implicated many innocent guests in the chaos.

These guests were people with connections to the Murrays. They spanned various professions and fields. With such significant losses, it would take them at least three to five years to fully recover. The only thing worth celebrating was that Christopher survived.

As long as Christopher was alive, the Murrays would never fall. It would only take time for them to regain their former glory.

After the battle ended, Millsburg’s official authorities gradually arrived. A large number of soldiers rushed in to escort the guests and secure the Murray residence, clearing the battlefield. It was only then that everyone’s anxious hearts found some relief.

“Kid, I owe you a great favor this time. Without you, I might not have made it out alive.” Christopher approached Dustin and expressed his gratitude.

“It was nothing, General Murray,” Dustin replied with a smile, not wanting to take too much credit. He had owed Christopher a favor due to the Cherusia. Today, he finally returned the favor.

“Who would have known? I didn’t expect you to be so talented. You are comparable to your mother back then.” Christopher looked grateful.

“Thank you for the compliment.” Dustin smiled and took out a tablet. “I refined this Tigaruis. It’s extremely effective against internal injuries. You should try it.”

“Oh, really?” Christopher was curious. After a close inspection, he swallowed the tablet whole. Very soon, he expressed his amazement and praised, “This is indeed a miraculous panacea. My congested energy is flowing smoothly now. It’s amazing!”

“I can’t believe you’re not only skilled in martial arts but also mastered alchemy. You are truly a talent in both the literary and martial arts!

“If only a talented, handsome young man like you could become my grandson-in-law. That would be wonderful.”

Upon hearing that, Sheila, who had just approached them, blushed instantly.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
